It is elite, especially when you consider our pace of play.As info, KK’s 4.08 A/TO ratio places her 2nd in the nation to Quinnipiac’s Paige Girardi and just ahead of TX’s Rori Harmon.
After each of the past 2 games, Geno’s first comment during his postgame remarks was to praise KK for getting the Huskies off to a strong start. While Sarah and Azzi are the clear stars of this team, no one does more to establish the relentless pace & pressure of each UConn game than KK.It is elite, especially when you consider our pace of play.
For those who may not know- the above means that for every 4 assists KK makes, she has only one turnover. It’s a statistic that indicates a point guard (or anyone’s) ability to secure the ball while facilitating the offense
If I recall correctly, an assist to turnover ratio of 2.0 to 1 is average
More detailed infoI think a 2:1 A:TO is a solid number for a good/very good point guard.
And yet, she's not in the final top 5 for the Nancy Lieberman award. I'll take a great ATO ratio over points scored, any day.
Luv the "Masked Marvel"!!!!!!!!!!! 😄Masked Marvel
Curious...whts her situation?KK is fantastic. She just gets lost in the shuffle as she platooned with K Chen and now K9, plus is eclipsed by the glare of Paige, Azzi, Sarah and up and coming Blanca.
She should definitely be an all-america candidate next year. Question will be if she can overcome her situation, and then how do these other established stars play.
To KKs credit, she only worries about championships. Awards or not, some WNBA team will be very happy to have her.
I’m guessing “her situation” refers to the fact that she plays for an incredibly good and deep UConn team and therefore does not (and probably never will) get the minutes that other players get with their respective teams.Curious...whts her situation?
Likely to face at least one of these teams in the upcoming tournament. Should be an exciting game to watch.I'm really hoping KK can show the national audience what she can do against the bigger names - raven, rori, kiki.
Here are some of UCONN PG career A/TO numbers
Jefferson - 2.65
Bueckers - 2.65
I'll leave it to someone else to figure out who's elite/average.
