1250 more 3's, 1000 more free throws, 95 more games for Taurasi.Hmmm, with the most field goals you would think that Tina would be closer to Taurasi in total points. I guess the difference is 3-pointers and maybe foul shots.
When will folks start listing her among UConn greats? Not sure why she hasn’t been since the end of her junior year at UConn.
She was National Freshman of the Year, so 🤷♀️I'm with you Nan - I don't get it eitherShe was (and still is) a dominating presence on the court.
I've seen posters say that Tina wasn't Tina until her Jr and Sr years, but to me her F, S, J, Sr stats say (using Geno speak) that she was really really really good each year:
FG%: .590, .604, .620, .618
Pts: 12.7, 14.2, 16.5, 18.2
TRB: 8.2, 9.2, 8.9, 9.5
ORB: 3.1, 3.6, 3.4, 3.1
Blk: 2.3, 1.8, 1.6, 2.4
Ast: 0.8, 1.3, 1.1, 1.6
Durability with a capitol D. Then there is her magnificent record of social responsibility and giving. One of my favorite Huskies for life. And this season, her 15th, she is averaging 16 points and 6 rebounds.
