Another bites the dust? (Clayton White?)

Didn't he make a statement to the effect last year that playing only one RB wasn't his decision? Would think recruiting a RB given GD's determination to ride just one guy is not the easiest thing to do, also would think help if coach actually played the position he is coaching (if position coach).

Confirmed... C'est la vie.

Running backs/Special team coach Clayton White leaving #UConn for #N.C. State. Was a linebacker for the #Wolfpack (1999-2001).

Well, negativity becomes a self-fulling prophecy.

This is what happens when the employees know that the boss that hired them is gone a year from now.

Might as well find that new stable job THIS YEAR, and not wait to be discarded next year.

Apparently Rick Minter, the DC at Kentucky last year, has called the school looking for work. This is the type of candidate you're going to see apply for the job.

I'm hearing bilge pumps running! Grab a life jacket the water is cold.

Before you pop a clot... We were talking about DJ Hernandez who is a UConn grad who has "coaching experience" - not DJ Shoemate. You need to go back to start of post for context. You got lost on this one.

Darrell Wilson has been at Iowa for more than a decde. He is DB/specials teams coach. Recruits NJ and the mid Atlantic. Make him a decent DC offer and he could jump.

That makes sense for us... Iowa plays solid D... Give the guy a chance... Especially if he has ties to Storrs CT... Coaching at Iowa for a decade helps... The biggest PLUS is his ties to NJ and the mid Atlantic....

to late:D. my bad on the nme mix up but i was still right and i wasn't trying to make a comment or be a dick like ppl thought....djh played qb and wr correct? so where does the rb coach come into play? i think thats why i thought shoe right away.

It started here...

I'd like to see UConn start to bring back some alumni for these positions.

Who? Seriously.. the only ones I can think of are Hargraves and... and... That's about the only one I can really think of... Ferentz isn't leaving Iowa for Storrs, CT.. Who else played ball at UCONN that has any real coaching experience...

Then the tongue in check DJ comment.

C'mon man stay with us...

I can see why PP commented about the focus on recruiting only right now. There might not be anyone on the trail but him and his sidekick when the dominos stop falling. I hope for our sake that the decision that these coaches have made about PP leading us forward turn out to be wrong.

HFD do you really follow UCONNDOMINOES?!?! Lol!!! I didn't even know there was such a thing. Please tell me you made it up....I could check Twitter right now but I'm too lazy

i do not follow it. i went to shoemates twitter and looked at it. like 10 down he retweeted a dominos thing. i clicked on uconn dominos and yup they have a twitter. about 15 tweets down on there page i found that tweet.........

Bring in Paul Duckworth, grew up playing alongside the kid. He was a beast and can certainly relate to recruits who can turn a full ride into a better life. Last I heard he's living in TX with his family. Not even sure if he's stayed close to the game but I'd offer him some type of gig to get him on staff and back home.

.-.
Bring in Matt Degannaro for a talk. If we're fighting for our life I'd like for true UConn football players to be fighting alongside.

What's Andre Dixon doing? Bring him in!

Wish AD had more eligibility, but can't imagine a better candidate for coaching young running backs. He was a fiery emotional leader.

Duck was the man... remember him back in the day... Danbury kid... Good dude all around, but does/has he coached anywhere?

I'm a Danbury kid too, Paul was a year younger but took our program to a new level while he was there. I saw two of my best friends shit away a full scholarship. I'll never forget the day I saw Paul, his first day on campus. I told him to "play hard" and he told me he was at UConn to get a degree, that was the hard part.

Playing hard came naturally.

As I said, don't know if he's stayed in the game, last report has him in Texas. Worth a phonecall though IMO. He married a great girl from Danbury, that's all I know.

Lagow just lamented on twitter he wishes coach White had at least informed him. Lagow is awesome. Great accolades and something like this can blow it.

How about Sean Mulcahy on D-line with HH moving up to DC. Ironic the initials on the dumpster fire HfD. I know it's waste management but maybe this whole thing is some sort of bad karma.
