Any P5 opponent on the schedule is a win for Warde and UConn football.

I'm hoping in addition to the football games with Illinois and Indiana we can schedule basketball games as well.

It's good to have another B1G opponent added to our future out of conference schedule for now....but hopefully...by that time...this is just another solid in-conference game for the Huskies! Way to build the schedule Warde!

>>Indiana will be the second team the Huskies play from the Big Ten Conference during those seasons as UConn plays home against Illinois in 2019 and returns the game in 2020.

UConn and Indiana have met two previous times in the sport of football as the Huskies defeated the Hoosiers by a 34-10 score on August 30, 2003 in the Dedication Game of Rentschler Field. UConn then won by a 14-7 score on September 23, 2006 in Bloomington.

The following is a summary of all future non-conference UConn football games under contract.

2014: August 28, BYU; September 6, Stony Brook; September 13, Boise State; November 8, Army (Yankee Stadium).
2015: September 5, Villanova; September 12, Army; October 31, at BYU.
2016: September 17, Virginia.
2017: September 16, at Virginia.
2018: September 8, at Boise State.
2019: September 7, Illinois; September 21, at Indiana.
2020: September 12, at Illinois; September 26, Indiana.

UConn and Tennessee have a two-game home-and-home series under contract with dates to be determined.<<

Need to dump that Nova game sooner than later ...

Add some basketball to this. Love anything B1G.

Is AAC going to a 9 game schedule?

The OOC schedule in the ( somewhat) distant future looks good with Indiana/ Illinois rotating home/home in 2019/2020.

This year's home schedule is solid (as far as an AAC schedule can be).

2015 is still rough looking with only Nova and Army at home so far ( though that was supposed to be Tennessee as well).

I believe 2016/2017 we have our UVA home/ home.

2018 is at Boise State.

To me, when need a solid home game next year to generate interest. Especially considering Cinci/UCF come to the rent this season.

Any word on the rumors of a Rutgers series?

Edit: lol @huskymedic stealing my thunder

Yeah, I agree. The 2015 schedule needs a solid home game to replace Tennessee. Even if the game is a neutral site type of game somewhere in the northeast, I'd be happy.

I like it but also feel a little disappointed. If there was a super-secret invite to the B1G that Warde knew about he wouldn't be scheduling B1G teams... Unless Herbst hasn't told him. Yup. that's it. There won't be any cancellation fee if this becomes an intra-conference matchup.

I forgot to comment on the Indiana series: good move by Warde. I like that he is scheduling B1G opponents. It shows that there is open dialogue between he and B1G ADs. I'm with Jimmy, I hope that by the time we get to 2019, we'll be in the B1G and playing our home games at a 60,000 seat stadium.

leaves me lukewarm football-wise, but you pair that up with a home-and-home, or even a 4-game series, in MBB, then I get much more excited.

Fills a need for winnable P5 opponents. Marquis P5 opponent still need to be added.

I like it! Anything that gets us closer to and more eyeballs in the Big 10 is a good thing.

Now what's the deal with the TN series? Can TN either cancel it and pay us the buy out or put a date down. Is the hold up the new SEC schedule?

Neutral Site game in the Northeast? Looking for the Irish? Or, do you think that LSU is looking to play near Manhattan?

We'd like to travel out to Boulder. Actually anywhere in Colorado sounds good right about now.

I just went through a bunch teams 2015 schedules. Looks like Missouri, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, and a slew of B12 teams (WVU?) have September room. None of these scream neutral site game to me but any would do.

UConn's Big 10 invite is so super secret that UConn and the Big Ten schools don't even know about it.

Not a death sentence to a B1G invite. RU and PSU scheduled a game a similar amount of time in the past to open next year and they're opening the year with a conference game.
