One of the worst all-time NCAA women's bball drubbings was suffered by Savannnah State a few years back when their best player, a point guard, broke the thumb on her shooting hand a few minutes into the game. After that it was 'Katie, bar the door!'

Umm - with UNC that's not really the point. On that aspect of it, I'm sure it was no harm no foul.

The issue and point of the thread is that UNC simply doesn't play very many (sometimes, any) decent opponents out of conference. And they win all those games by similar scores. Of course their starters play - otherwise their starters wouldn't get to play!

UNC likes to think of themselves as just "Carolina," but the fact is that they barely edged East and got pummeled by South. They must be more like Middlin' Carolina.

Suprised they havent played Western Carolina or Coastal Carolina this year. They play North Carolina Central tonight
