Amazed at fans who think season is in toilet after 1 game

I get what you're trying to say but there is validity to finding a balance between the pitchfork mob and the steady hand of a manager (GM/AD). It's kind of a standard practice for the GM or AD of a team to do a comprehensive yearly review that includes taking the temperature of the fanbase.

Yearly, fine. After every game? No.

Please leave when Pasqualoni does. You are clearly not a UConn fan.

When Pasqualoni leaves. Please go with him. You are a total fool.

This team has been crippled by all of the returning starters.
Well some of us want to see a successful season regardless of who is the coach. Keep thinking there is a miracle worker coach out there and takes over and the flip of a switch will rattle off eight wins. Who is the fool? We need to win with what we have.

I'm thinking there must be a few people new to the world of college sports, or they just don't know what a difference a decent coach can make immediately with the same players, or their related to or neighbors of PP.

there's no other plausible explanation

Are you kidding... This post will be followed up with nothing but whining and negativity.

I will follow it up with one of immense optimism.

Once we rid ourselves of the AARP poster boys who have been steadily (at breakneck speed no less) been driving the football program back to Yankee Conference level, we will clean house (with the exception of likely three to four assistants) and bring in a quality young football mind with the credibility to immediately bring a decent level of excitement to the media (both local and national) and fan base, quality leadership to restore confidence in many players who have been beaten down emotionally by the current leadership and creative enough game planning to immediately win a few games that we would never have won under the current regime.

By the new coach's third season we will be not only the class of a quality (three or four preseason ranked schools) AAC, we will also be accepted in the the AAU at that point and the buzz we be on when the B1G adds us to their conference.

Is that positive enough for you?

Are you related to Paul Pasqualoni?

Paqualoni isn't even trying. That stupid mummy is retired on the job, and he is laughing at the school, the fans and the players.

It's like the old movie about a couple of elderly con men getting together for one last score. They're going to get away clean with over $6M.

Temperature is being taken, all-right. Rectally!

I watched some of ND/Michigan. Now, I'm positive? Oy vey! Can't wait for the long, unfortunately, sober ride home.

Very few if any college teams have the raw talent and locker room leadership to overcome horrible coaching.

See SoCal if you're not sure.

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

I really want to believe we'll regroup, beat MD, give UM a good game and finish 8-5 with a bowl win...

BUT 2+ years into the PP circus I feel anyone who can truly have that kind of blind optimism is INSANE. I will continue to support my players and school but I cannot think of any reason to place another ounce of faith in this coaching staff. If the players pull together and make it a 4,5,6 win season I will be very proud of them but no matter what happens from here (barring a 9/10 win miracle) the Towson game was the declaration of the end for PP, making 2013 a lost season.

The season is not in the toilet after one game - the program is in the toilet after two-plus years.

It's not that P isn't trying, it's that he's not capable.

We're taking my nephews to the Maryland game and we'll have fun - they're football-obsessed - but win or lose, it changes nothing. The long-term solution for UConn football is not currently on the payroll.
