A few posts on Twitter are saying she’s transferring to Maryland.

Best of luck to Amari. I loved how she was always upbeat and engaging. I wish her success, at Maryland or wherever she ends up.

(please - no need to take potshots in this thread. Let the criticism go)

Little bit of trivia. The Director of NIL Services at the University of Maryland is named Omari DeBerry. Coincidence? ;)
Amari’s bio doesn’t mention a father’s name. Omari DeBerry is a man.

That would be an interesting destination for Amari. I'd venture over to College Park to catch a game or two.
Swerve: The only collegiate game I have attended was at Cole Field House. It was a men's game against Villanova, the season that 'Nova upset Georgetown for the NC (1985). Oh, the Terps won.
Back to Amari.

Interesting post. But why the long face? :D

Omari Deberry is a 25 year old former Lacrosse player at Ohio State. I'm pretty sure he's not Amari's father.
There are 2 Omari Deberry. Are you sure which one you are talking?

It will be great if Amari's dad is working in U. of Maryland.
Anyway wish Amari the best for her success in Maryland.
Both Mr. Omari DeBerry and Ms. Amari DeBerry could be related, but I don’t think he’s her dad. From his profile, he seems to be very young, and it appears that he graduated from high school in 2017.

I wish her the best. I always thought she could have been the solution this year for UConn competing for a championship but for some reason never rose to the top. I really think a change of scenery for her could lead to amazing things for Amari in basketball.

Good for her, landing with a top notch program with national visibility, and a coach who's won a national championship. Hope she finally finds an environment that can afford the opportunity to maximize her potential. Will be watching.

I know ppl hate the 5th year, covid year. What about making it a minutes or games thing. I'm just thinking that if Amari kills at umd, like puts up a solid 10 and 8 next year, it kinda sucks she only has one year. She played less than 5 minutes a game last year, less than 400 her 3 yrs at UConn. Especially in a time where ppl jump ship so frequently.
