Thank goodness BYU pulled out the first game in regulation otherwise it would have been a real late night.

Not sure if they didn't need to stop the first game to fix the basket if could have caught an earlier train.

Got into Fairfield at 1:30

Did you make the 12:07? I got in a cab to hustle to make that train, but the traffic was so bad, I jumped out and I got a beer and went to the 1:07 without looking at the schedule and then saw that there was a 12:33!

Didn't get home until almost 3. Today is a total washout.

Having been able to watch the game in SoCal starting at 6 and ending at 9, I have no issues and have a bounce in my step today as a result of the well earned Husky victory! Western living does have some advantages!

What felt like just enough bourbon watching the game felt like a bit too much this morning. Commute wasn't too bad. Dogs stayed in bed and I had a clear path to the sofa in living room. 75 minutes of morning local news, a quick stop for coffee in the kitchen and then a relatively traffic free 20' walk to my desk.

I usually try to stay away from 95 in Fairfield County at all costs. But I would figure at that time of the day it would be fine. But I guess not. Note to self, never take that stretch of highway.

I got home at 2:20, woke up at 630, and currently want to claw my eyes out of their sockets.

I'm in roughly the same boat. Got back to my house in Philly suburbs at 2:30am. Made it until 6:50am before my 5 year old came in and sat on my head to alert me it was time get up and make breakfast.

Boston has the 5th worst traffic in the country and I can tell you with absolute certainty that driving home at that time on a weekday has never been an issue.

I am dragging today.

Left work at 230pm in northern RI yesterday. Got on the 1233 train back to NH after the game, then driving back to RI. Ended up just going straight to work (got there 500am).

Slept every minute of train ride back.

I retired 5 years ago. What's an alarm again? I forgot. To be honest I have turned into one of those people who fall asleep at 8pm and wake up around 4-5 am. I was tired but just napped.

I wonder what the overall effect on productivity in the State is today. I got home from MSG at 1:30 and was awakened by my wife having erroneously set an alarm for 6:00 (unless she was making a passive aggressive point on me being out that late). Thanks honey. I am working but the headache at 66 is much worse than it would have been 10 years ago.

I thought about you guys as soon as the basket had issues and that first game dragged. Hey that kid from BYU misses that sucked goes to OT and you could have easily been other side of 2. But I’m a little bit your junior and would have been in just as rough a shape- feel your pain.

That I got home driving by myself (I met people at the game but they aren’t living in CT) without hitting anyone or anything was not a small accomplishment. Despite having only had one beer that I finished by 8:00.

Today was tough waking up - I was so wired after watching that game like some others , prolly didn’t go to sleep till 1. Up at 6. This morning was tough until those first few sips of coffee. Well worth it tho. What a game. Just rewatched the second half- that euro Malachi had on boogie was pretty sick. Boogie had a tough night. Oh well. going to sleep like a baby tonight. Nite all.

Planning road trips down South must be properly timed or you could lose 2 hours easily. I try to hit Stamford before 6am and pull over in Central Jersey to catch our breath and eat.

Philly, Baltimore and DC traffic can't be too far behind. I now fly and then rent cars. Hell I've even learned to wash clothes at the hotel if I want to be 'luggage lite'. Just saying traffic is so atrocious its changed the way I travel by car.
