Kind of surprised Christyn Williams and Meghan Walker haven't been asked to any training camp. i wonder why. I thought they are good enough to play in the WNBA. Are they gone from the WNBA for good?
If memory serves, Christyn finished out the 2025 season on a hardship contract with the Wings. I was hoping that would lead to her getting some traction getting a permanent roster spot.

IMO, Walker may have declared too soon, however if she's content playing overseas (UMMC Ekaterinburg W), it may not be worth it to come back to the W for an outside chance. When Williams got injured prior to rookie season, that messed up her window. She's still working out and maybe hoping to get al call.
And is Lou Lopez-Senechal no longer in the mix for a roster spot?
As LLS grew up in France, perhaps the lure of playing in Europe was much more interesting than the W.

Megan had been playing in Russia this past season. If you look at her Instagram page, there’s lots of love from current and former Huskies (and Lou, too)

This guy has Georgia Amoore as an honorary Husky? I’ve nothing against her, it just seems kinda random.
I thought so too. I mean, doesn't he read the Boneyard? If anyone is an honorary Husky, it's Karlie Samuelson out there in Portland with Serah. 😉

Christyn was playing abroad somewhere last fall. She was with the team earlier this month
Your post reminded me that I had read an article last month about former WNBA players who had been playing in the Israeli league when the US began military operations against Iran—among them Christyn and Evina Westbrook.

UConn is also in the front offices/coaching. Kelly Farris (Chicago Sky), Morgan Tuck (Conn Sun),, Rene Montgomery (Atlanta). Are there others?

I believe Sue has partial ownership in the Storm.

Nika is with Portland, but out for the season with her ACL tear. Squeaks (Christyn) was working out hard and may be in someone's camp. Megatron is looking more fit and playing well. She could possibly make a roster if she wants. Bria Hartley may be on someone's roster. Tina Charles could sign somewhere. What happened to "Guns" Dangerfield? I haven't seen anything on her in a year or so.

Some very interesting historical facts in this article. Worth scrolling through.

From College to the W: Which Schools Make History in the League?

For example:
Below is the list of the top nine schools and one country that have sent the most players to the WNBA via the draft (excluding the 1997 WNBA Elite Draft.)

  • UConn: 52 players
  • Tennessee: 46 players
  • Stanford: 31 players
  • Duke: 28 players
  • Baylor: 26 players
  • Australia: 26 players
  • South Carolina: 25 players
  • LSU: 25 players
  • Notre Dame: 24 players
  • Georgia: 24 players

Love how Australia is in the mix with all these programs. 🤣
