How much money does Uconn have left in the checking account?
Sure, I mean we need players to like have a full practice and stuff. It's just such a strange situation where you kind of wonder where these players will come from. I certainly get the allure of going to UConn and playing for Hurley and everything. But, I think I'd prefer, to you know, actually play. There are entire teams with little to no rosters still. There's PT out there for everyone.
Maybe not a question of getting 'better' than Singare - more of he was meant a great practice center for Reed, Jr / Johnson, and a wonderful teammate by all accounts.Hurley is down to getting a couple of the best bodies he can get for injury protection and practice. They know they won’t play much which means they are not top line players but God forbid somebody goes down they could actually get significant use.
The big hang up with this for Hurley and every other school is that the primary driver for all good players is playing time, it’s why they come, it’s why they transfer and go elsewhere.
Example is Singare saw himself with more playing time but will we get a player better than him?
Stay tuned!I'm hoping for another year with Jared on the Connecticut Scoreboard podcast.
