6'1 185 grad transfer who averaged 8p, 2r, 4a and shot 44% from three last season after starting 27 games at IU Indianapolis last season. 53 2P% and 83 FT% in conference play.

According to KenPom, Millender was the most efficient offensive player in the Horizon League, but he does not have strong defensive metrics.

Another player where I'd be surprised if he ends up here, as he can earn a starting role elsewhere, but obviously, would be happy to add a steady, smart third string PG to the mix.

Diaby is 6'5" and playable this year. He is on the official team roster now. So we got our 5th guard.
Walk-ons are always on the official team roster. Emmett Hendry was on the official team roster. Zero chance he is figures in at all when it comes to building the roster.

I feel this is a good 3rd point guard option. Hopefully he will want the rewards for being part of a final 4 team. Seems to me being a part of something big at this point in his life would mean more than being a starter at some boring school.

Sick, so we get the most efficient offensive player in the Horizon League to be our fifth guard/third point guard.

Basically, if Demary or Smith get injured, we'd have Millender off the bench as the back-up point guard. He also shoots well enough to be a floor spacer to as an emergency 2-guard.

Good enough. Another guy who will add depth, help in practice and not herald the end of the world if we have to bring him in for a few minutes here or there.

Actually played well when IU Indy played Xavier last year.

He’s pretty big at 6’3”. His 3 point shot starts down at his stomach. Does he have a tight handle and can he defend?

For the ~17 critical minutes that we may need him in 2025-2026 I would think he'd be adequate enough at both.

I do expect to see him light it up in the closing minutes of our cupcake games.

Yeah not sure where you’re getting 6’3”. Listed at 6’1” and the one video I saw of him, that looks generous. Looks about Hassan’s height, maybe a tad shorter. Think he has a pretty nice handle but is not considered a strong defensive player.

Fills the glaring need from last year of a third PG that can bring the ball up the court without getting swallowed up by pressure and stripped or dribbling it off his own foot. Anything beyond that is a bonus.

Our high ranked point guard hits the portal leaving ZERO point guards on the roster and bingo, Hurley has 3 answers. Very impressive.
I don't know how you enter the summer in better shape at the position.

All Have Experience
Silas Demary 33 starts in 33 games last year for Georgia vs SEC competition
Malachi Smith started 31 of 33 games for Dayton that was a tough out & battled Posh Alexander so his handle has been challenged
Alec Millender started 27 of 32 games last yr, 12th nationally in assist/turnover ratio, 4th leading scorer, highest efficiency in Horizon

All are Solid Enough Foul Shooters
Demary 58/69 84.1%
Smith 81/113 71.7%
Millender 45/57 78.1%

All are Adequate 3 Point %
Demary 58/155 37.4%
Smith 31/81 38.3%
Millender 54/124 43.5%

Includes A PG w/ Size
Demary 6'5 which we all love defensively & rebounding
Smith 6' & Millender 6'1 are big enough and may match up to smaller quicker players

This is enough at PG to be in the championship conversation.
From literally zero a month or so ago.
