Time for the chart!
Time for the chart!
Anyone who shoots 3s (even just wide open ones) at well over 40% will find a few minutes even if in special circumstances only - hard to tell if he has a quick enough release to make other than wide open shots but seems toHas a nice shot but doesn't seem much of an athlete. Good practice player. I doubt he sees any floor time. Too bad he wasn't a sophomore as maybe he could develop into a bench piece. Oh well he will get paid nice to sit. It would be nice if we could get a backup young center and young PG with out last 2 recruits.
He is a bench practice player. We already have shooters. This guy played super low division 1 isn't that athletic. Where is he getting minutes? Playing low division 1 and going up to big east is quite a huge jump. I will be surprised if he averages any meaningful minutes but could be wrong. He is a Sr. so maybe he has some skills that could see the floor in limited minutes when we need to make a 3.Anyone who shoots 3s (even just wide open ones) at well over 40% will find a few minutes even if in special circumstances only - hard to tell if he has a quick enough release to make other than wide open shots but seems to
So if there's about $6 million in revenue sharing allocated for men's basketball at UConn then do all the players on the team get the same amount or does everyone have to negotiate their own deal? If it's the latter then no wonder why everyone is hiring a GM. Tom is going to have his hands full.If the House Settlement is approved by a judge, and If they sign a contract with UConn to do so at a negotiated rate.
I mean I see shuttlesworth here.Yes...but look at the video. He never misses.![]()

Nope, you ain't got anyone that shoots his percentage on 3s, Lorenzo Ball comes closest. You have to go back to Joey C (14 mpg and 44% ) to find someone that has shot as high a percentage as this guy, and that is what they were looking for with this guy - a Joey C. He'll get his couple minutes a game but 20 seconds is all you need if he goes in to shoot a tying 3 to put a game in OVT. In the age of NIL, they don't recruit practice players, there are plenty of walk-ons available for that.He is a bench practice player. We already have shooters. How is this guy going to get minutes when we have Ball, Karaban and Mullins and they are all proven shooters? That isn't taking into consideration Demary and Smith who can shoot and play PG. We have Stewart, the Ross brothers and Furphy. I'm sure he is a nice kid but seriously you think he will get any serious minutes on this team with all the mouths we have to feed as is? Why do you think this guy is more than a practice player? He played at a very low level so can't take his shooting seriously that it will translate at this level. You remember Scottie Harrelson right and he was a higher rated player? This is the 13th player on the bench.Nope, you ain't got anyone that shoots his percentage on 3s, Lorenzo Ball comes closest. Quite sure he would be surprised as wellHe is a bench practice player. We already have shooters. This guy played super low division 1 isn't that athletic. Where is he getting minutes? This is probably true based on the fact that bench players like this rarely get meaningful minutes anywhere. But im guessing most of our knowledge of this kid comes from that 5 minute video. We aren't in a position as fans who have never heard of him to critique his whole game as usless. He is a bench practice player. We already have shooters. Where is the updated depth chart? I can't keep track of mid-major bench warmers flying in these past few weeks.

Some of you really suck. Trashing him before he has played one second says more about you, than him.
I never said useless. I just said he probably won't be getting any meaningful time. At this point of recruiting we aren't getting any impact players for next season. Just bench players and if young enough developmental pieces for future years(Which he isn't due to being a Sr). I hope the kid is great represenative of UConn basketball and have faith he will be. Players 1-15 will all be important in keeping up the standards for UConn basketball. Welcome to UConn basketball Alec! I hope you can excel in whatever role the coach wants. This is probably true based on the fact that bench players like this rarely get meaningful minutes anywhere. Also perhaps some late game hold a lead minutes. Strong ball hander, 81% FT shooter, older guy who likely won't be mistake prone.I was thinking I could see this kod surprising some people. If he can bang 3s at the right time, might just find some non-cupcake minutes here or there
Either that or be part of a really good team while getting another degree and join the corporate world as a D1 National ChampionSo what’s a guy like him thinking future-wise? Play a few years in Europe then look at coaching?
I wouldn’t get too concerned. It’s going to be a break glass in case of emergency type. Those type of guys will be available.Still no third center
Right now it's Alex or Stewart. We do lack for size a little bit.Still no third center
From the Courant article on Millender's commitment.Still no third center
Actually I think Koroma is 3rd stringer if needed. That is why we got him.Right now it's Alex or Stewart. We do lack for size a little bit.
He did and see the video in this reply. I still can see where we might go for another true Center and PG as both those positions could be of need next year depending on how Reibe performs. I doubt he leaves after 1 year though but you never know if we win it all and he performs great as a backup to Reed. Smith is gone and same goes for Demary leaving if he does well too. I know we will recruit better players to start but having some developmental pieces at those 2 positions would be great for backups in future years. From the Courant article on Millender's commitment.
The Huskies seem to still be in the market for a third option at center who can back up Reed and Reibe.
Does Koroma fit this? Didn't he play the 5 at Le Moyne?
I don't think anyone is trashing him at all. For what we need as a 3rd string PG, he's a great pickup, but he isn't going to see much floor time unless we get riddled with injuries. He has some skills that make him a good player in low D1, but they are unlikely enough to make him a rotation player on an elite team unless he has another untapped level. If he can learn the offense, handle and protect the ball, and play serviceable defense, thats all we need from him as an emergency PG and a good practice player, but he's not here to score. Appreciating him for what he is is not trashing him. Some of you really suck. Trashing him before he has played one second says more about you, than him.
