The Albany games are March 29- April 1. Two games on the 29th and two games on the 30th and one game on the 31st and one game on the first. Does this mean if UConn is there they will play on only two of the days. Does anyone know exactly how it will work with more teams at these sites?

We went to the Seattle regional last year. The way it works is that if you look at the bracket, there are 4 regions. Now that they've combined the regionals into 2 sites down from 4, there are 8 teams playing at one site, but they only play teams from their region of the bracket. So for example, Seattle had Colorado, Iowa, Ol Miss, Louisville and then UConn, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech. The first 4 teams played a total of 3 games, and the second 4 teams played a total of 3 games. It was weird since usually with regionals you end up with one finalist that moves on to the Final Four. But with combined regionals, two teams advanced and the two groups never mixed. Felt..... unfinished. Hopefully that makes sense.

Thanks, it seems if we want to see UCONN we probably won’t know the days they play until two weeks before the regionals.

In Summary, two tournaments are going on at one site. The two winners go to the Final Four. Lots of basketball for the buck.

Does one region play on Days 1 and 3 and the other region play on Days 2 and 4?

That sounds logical, but as of now no schedule has been released by the venue.
It won’t be available until after Selection Sunday. Here’s last year’s - keep this site bookmarked for official info
