2020 Recruiting: - Alan Griffin | The Boneyard

2020 Recruiting: Alan Griffin

Loved his dad. Classy dude. Hard working. Very solid basketball player.

I met dad in the mall in Manchester when he played for the Pride. It was a few years after his Seton Hall days and a year or so before he got picked up in the nba. Nobody recognized him but me. He was with the wife and kids. Not sure which kids. Maybe Alan and/or Aubrey. He was real cool. I told him he was too good for the Pride and he should be in the nba. We chat for a minute and i went on my way. Not sure why, but it was memorable. Adrian just always seemed like a standup guy.

It absolutely doesn't suprise me that he raised such successful children.

Isn't younger brother going to Duke?

In limited minutes this kid was an offensive monster (over 8 obpm), and wasn’t a sieve defensively (1.1 dbpm).

I’m down.

6th best offensive rating in the entire country. Their fan base is devastated.

I mean I would expect that to go down with more minutes, but it’s still a great piece. And with the way others have developed under Dan Hurley...that’s a real winning piece

Hurley is also a strong believer in pedigree/blood lines. Has said that he wants a big guard who can shoot. This kid is a PERFECT fit for what he’s looking for right now.

With his sister at UConn and being a N.Y. kid this could make a lot of sense. He and Nolley would be a great addition to the class.
With Griffin, Nolley, Bouk, Jackson, and Cole we may damn well win the Big East next season. What a prefect off season that’d be

Who else thought of Allen griffin from Syracuse?

I haven’t seen his film yet, but his sister plays very hard and has a great BB.IQ about rebounding.

This kid should be our number 1 priority. Take him over everyone else.
Excellent offensive player. Defense was supposedly poor which didn’t help him get as much playing time as he wanted.

Are they changing the transfer rule from sitting out a year to immediately eligible now?
