Yep and it was against the Bama defense, USC defense in 04 wasn't very good it was good just not a great D.

Dabo Sweeney has really improved as a game coach over his career. I thought he was a bit of a train wreck as a game coach early in his career, but this was a masterpiece.

I suspect that Wilson would fire it into the ground if the receiver didn't get open and he didn't think he could get to the end zone with a run. He was outside the tackles so there was no intentional grounding issue.

Watson. Poetic justice that the D back tackled Williams when he knew he was beaten for a touchdown on the previous play and then Dabo calls a pick play for the win.

I thought the tackle was a smart play by Bama. If one more second had ticked off on that play, Dabo may have had to kick. I bet the Alabama corners were told to just tackle Clemson's receivers if they were beat. The pick made that impossible.
