From what I'm reading the key to them winning is that they can out run us easily, and out shoot us at the 3's. In our 3 losses the opponent made 14 -3's. I thought we killed it with with our fast pace stretch in our 30-run. Diarra, Stewart and Solo Ball will give us multiple fresh legs and play a pivotal role with our bench strength. Our whole coaching staff are excellent with game planning. Cant wait for them to lace them up.

I think we should tell them that their 3 pt shooting scares the crap out of us as does their rebounding, pace and defense does as well as their outstanding coaching staff. That Vegas has it wrong and they should be favored. We will be very lucky to keep it close.

I would bet the house that they cannot outrun us easily. I would be surprised if they can outrun us at all. We play primarily a half court offense because we can, not because we can't run. Most teams that run, do so because they cannot run a half court offense and can only score that way.

I will take it a step further and say that if offered a button whereby I could guarantee that Alabama would make 12 3's and we'd only make 6, I would push it.

I think they need to outscore us from the 3-point line by at least 24 in order to win.

yup. if we were guaranteed to shoot 30% from 3 on our average volume (23.8/game) meaning we make 7, then Bama can go ahead and make 14. Bama would outscore us by 21 from 3 in this scenario but we're good enough to overcome it. it would probably end up being too close for comfort though.

It's not the 3's, imo. You look at that Bama shot chart and they have all these red dots under hoop, hardly any red circles. That's not happening to UConn.
