You dont have to miss that.
Ill be doing that in exactly 14 days, like I do every Nov or December at MSG. You want to come with for nostalgia sake?
I already have my tickets and my band of three tormentors are ready
Thanks for the invite AW!!

Half-time meetup behind sec 119, everyone is going to grab a delicious MSG spicy chicken sandwich and laugh at Cuse fans as they stumble by in their hideous orange apparel

I did the BET for 10 straight years at least and I always found Cuse fans in person to be more level-headed than other fanbases. Quite apart from their message board warriors.

The Georgetown fans sneered at everyone.
The Hall fans wanted to fight.
The WV fans provided entertainment.
The Louisville fans were back in Louisville.
Notre Dame was kinda like Georgetown except they were also wondering why they were there.
And worst of all--by far the worst fanbase--the Pitt fans who were just obnoxious and uppity and mostly went home with their tails wagging between their legs.

Were it not for the BET, I would have never developed a total hatred of Pitt basketball.

I agree with that. I had quite the episode with some Pitt fans at 2002 BET.

Over the years at the Rent I have observed more Pitt fans, than any other school, escorted out by security. Every time we played them.

I second this...and as much as uconn /cuse dislike each other. The fans of both teams are verryyyy similar.

Well, in January of 2015 PC was down by 7 points at half at Butler. Cooley was disgusted with the effort so he put Chukwu in to start the second half where he never came out once for the rest of the game. He won the game for them, 9 rebounds, 4 blocks including sinking 2 free throws in the final seconds to ice it. Has he ever had that kind of impact in one game at Cuse? A conference game? Against a top 25 team on the road? Plus he was a freshman.
So your one example from his freshman season is a game in which he played 23 minutes and had 4 points and 9 rebounds is evidence that he's never had that production while at Syracuse?

Aside from nearly going blind 2 years ago and making a comeback last season, 30 seconds of research showed me that Chukwu had 14 and 9 vs. Wake Forest, and then had 6 & 10 vs. TCU in the NCAA Tournament last year. Seems more "productive" than the Butler game in 2015. I'm not saying Chukwu is Anthony Davis, but your argument is lazy and ill-informed.

Chukwu has never been offensively talented. He was recruited out of HS by PC, UConn, and SU, simply because he is 7'2 and can block shots and get rebounds. I expect him to be better this season after basically missing 2 years with the transfer and serious (almost career-ending) eye injury.

Just look at Chukwu if you're Akok, he had more impact as a freshman at PC than he has had at Cuse with 3 years in the program. He literally has not advanced a bit. How is that even possible?[/QUOT

Okay, that is fair but I don't think he has developed that much at all.

UConn played Butler a few years ago. We beat them and won the national championship. But your Butler story was cool too. Good one.

Since we are talking about Butler and Syracuse, I remember a really funny story about when a #1 seed Syracuse team lost to Butler in the Sweet 16 in 2010. It was even funnier when # 3 seed Syracuse teams lost to #11 seeds Marquette and Dayton in 2011 and 2014, respectively. Who won those championships in 2011 and 2014?

No, we still probably have 2 more. Buddy Boeheim can go off scholarship next year, and they expect Brissett to also leave. I hear we're not getting Akok, so good luck on him. I'm hoping we can land Stewart to go with all those guards he used to play with in AAU ball, but that's a moderate chance, not a great one. Carrigan or Wahab may fall to us. I know you've been after Wahab, but I think we have his last visit.

Cardigan. Man that dude crawled into a cave or something. There’s been nothing on him for a while.

I was a big fan of his

And, total years in the NBA for all those first rounders...

UConn: 59
2006: Rudy Gay (13th year)
2006: Hilton Armstrong (6 years in the NBA)
2006: Marcus Williams (4 years in the NBA)
2006: Josh Boone (4 years in the NBA)
2009: Hasheem Thabeet (5 years in the NBA)
2011: Kemba Walker (8th year)
2012: Andre Drummond (7th year)
2012: Jeremy Lamb (7th year)
2014: Shabazz Napier (5th year)

Syracuse: 42
2008: Donte Green (4 years in NBA)
2009: Jonny Flynn (3 years in the NBA)
2010: Wes Johnson (9th year)
2012: Fab Melo (1 year in the NBA)
2012: Dion Waiters (7th year)
2013: Michael Carter-Williams (6th year)
2014: Tyler Ennis (4 years in the NBA)
2015: Chris McCullough (3 years in the NBA)
2016: Malachi Richardson (3rd year, Raptors declined 4th year option)
2017: Tyler Lydon (2nd year, Nuggets declined 3rd year option)
To be fair, Lydon, Malachi, McCullough, MCW, Flynn, have all dealt with their fair share of injuries once drafted. Not to say that they would automatically be even reserves or starters because imo most of those guys I listed left too early. And then of course theres Fab Melo (RIP).

maybe during this week...?

Also to be fair, all of those guys are terrible.

Lydon, Malachi, McCullough, MCW, and Flynn are classic Syracuse underachieving bums. NBA to G League to Boeheims Army.
I really liked Lydon’s game. Besides his one prolonged cold streak, he was a beast for Cuse. Maybe he was a little too slow for a hybrid forward, but he was skilled and versatile.

Malachi was a solid freshman, but just nowhere near ready for the NBA. Then Virginia chokes in the tournament and Richardson goes off, and he basically jumps into mick drafts from that one game. He needed more time.

McCollough has big injury problems. Hard to say much on him, other than Boeheim looking like his typically salty self when CJ declared.
