So easy to root for him. Hopefully 1 more year of health and experience + a better coach and team + solid performance can get him a professional opportunity somewhere once he’s done with college!

Akok Akok is a very likeable person. I wish him nothing but the best and hopefully he has a great year and so he can gain some professional opportunities. I wish he never went through that terrible achillies injury. The flip side to that injury however, is that Whaley got his opportunity to shine and become a regular contributor and starter for UConn.

Such a bad luck injury especially with his body type and how he models his game, he definitely was on his way

His 3P shooting form always looked good, yet last year only 28% from 3. Seems like a guy who should take off. Maybe Cooley can build up confidence and toughness and help him succeed. I hope so.
