If I have listened to what Geno has said correctly I felt he made it clear he was only interested in team focused players and not someone looking at how much they could make. So I would think that if he felt the delay was money related he would pull the scholarship offer no matter who it was.

story about Ms. Chavez (A H.S. player out of Texas who WAS being recruited by LSU... when Kim
M. withdrew LSU's offer to the young lady, i.e., "reportedly" when a Big NIL deal was supposedly
requested prior to signing). I would give Agot Makeer the
benefit of the doubt. If she is ANYTHING of a UCONN Fan, she would know
that that is not the UCONN way to be.!! I can wait!

Zarathurstra, again I agree with you. I'm sure she has competent people advising her to make the right decision for FOUR important years of her life. Makeer is leaving the hoopla behind and will sign when ready. I hope she will realize that Uconn has the best coaches and picks Uconn. Makeer, would love to see you play for Uconn GO HUSKIES!!!!

She's a dual citizen actually, being US born. She only received her Canadian passport which made it possible for her to play for Canada this year. She may be able to profit off of NIL directly.

Yes. She cannot be barred from making an income as a US citizen.

The issue regarding NIL for aliens is that they are here on student visas - not work visas. She doesn’t need a visa

As a Canadian, this always sounds weird to me when this term is used.

I don't know if this is in reference to Quinonez -- not sure if she is official -- or someone else.
