2026 Recruiting: Addison Bjorn

I was really impressed with everything - except her foul shooting (but I'm sure she'll work on that...(.

The thing I like most about Addison is her versatility and all around play. It might be hard to pencil her in as a sure starter at any specific position, but it is easy to see how she could be a compliment to other very good players and potentially be a super sub anywhere from 2-4.

she has UCONN written all over here , im a bit nervous about how great she will be with tougher competition .

Seems like you're hedging your bets there. Perhaps a "While..." to start the sentence? ;)

On the other, I have no reservations about Bjorn's ability to play at UConn and/or Iowa or Notre Dame (the latter two schools are also in the mix last I read.). She's going to be a huckuva wing for someone at the collegiate level.

Kansas is the big odd ball in her final 7, but she's from KC, so it's the closest-to-home option. Still, if I didnt want to be too far I'd take 5- hour Iowa over 1-hour Kansas any day.

I think her description of her own game is very good and accurate. One reason I like her perhaps even more than Jerzy is I am pretty sure she could fit in with many different combinations of players, and make others better. It is hard to project her at a specific position vs. what we will have returning, but easy to believe that her versatility and all around play will give Geno a reason to play her at multiple positions and be a valuable part of the rotation if she comes here.

I don’t think she’s as gifted a facilitator as Morgan, but their play styles and builds are very similar. Addison might even be a better shooter at this point.

She's scheduled a visit to Iowa next weekend, Sept 25-28

In case you didn't see the visit dates behind the 247sports paywall:
She took her first official visit to North Carolina the weekend of Aug. 31-Sept. 2. She visited Notre Dame Sept. 18-21. Bjorn intends to visit Duke from Oct. 2-5, UConn from Oct. 16-19, Texas from Oct. 30-Nov. 2, and Kansas from Nov. 6-9.

Now that McKenna Woliczko has committed to Iowa, do you think Addison has lost interest in going there, since they're both wings?

Some (in the know) have said for several months that UConn is the leader. I don't know if that is still true. Could be a UConn v Kansas battle, which may be a first in WBB.

The CA player (Woliczko) who just committed to Iowa is trying to recruit Bjorn and others to join her in Iowa City.

Interesting update on McKenna W doing some IOWA recruiting. I'm
still thinking Geno may get O. Vukoso, A. Bjorn, and Jerzy Robinson. I
wrote a P.S. to one of my thread notes about 2026 recruit the Sara Okeke. Sara Okeke is a talent (Sara is 193 cm = 6'4"), and better than
the French lady: Alicia Tournebize (194 cm). IMHO. These are two
options being discussed if Olivia (somehow???) goes elsewhere.

That's interesting since they would probably be competing against each other for PT at the same position(s). However, it makes some sense since this article indicates that Bjorn's father actually raved about Iowa's culture to Woliczko's dad and helped stimulate their interest in the program. I used Incognito Mode to read it.
