I love how they call it the Atlanta area...it is an full hour away from Atlanta....
That sounds similar to what how areas outside of Toronto are lumped into the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), even if it's over an hour away.

@triaddukefan did you see this? Greensboro will need a new nickname next year

You didn't hear all that rumbling and crashing outside about 3 hours ago?

Me throwing around furniture and lawn care equipment

For the sake of the tournament I hope it’s well attended. I have my doubts attendance will be anything like it is in Greensboro. But I could be wrong.

Highest attended ACC tournament since 2009.... Highest attended Championship game ever... And they still moved it to $EC country.

Man I tell ya... between graduation and transfers, the ACC is hemorrhaging talent. I haven't done a count, but I bet the majority of the All-ACC team won;t be playing in the ACC next season. :(

At least you still have a conference at this point? Better to lose some talent than have an entire conference up and disappear. I'm not still bitter...

Yup--I brought this up before this past season re Kiki Iriafen/Stanford (I guess you could say the same for Georgia Amoore/VT). This season, IMO, has been worse in terms of graduations and transfers out of the conference. The stars are leaving at an alarming rate. Outside of Hannah, there are no real stars returning.

Yep. Hate it for the conference. Latson to SC. Miles to TCU. Carnegie to UGa. Koval to LSU.

Not sure how it looks for other schools but what’s telling is I don’t see States name mentioned with the top talent whenever they put out their schools of interest. Guessing they indicates State doesn’t have the NIL to compete with other top programs for transfer talent.

Out of the 15 members of the All-ACC first team. 4 return. Hidalgo. Fournier, Zoe Brooks, and Kymora Johnson of UVA. Of the 10 on the second team... Ashlon Jackson, Taj Roberts (Louisville), Kelly of Chapel Hill...and Agara of Stanford.

Damn. Fifty percent gone from the conference for next season. Will need to review the list to see how many are graduating this year. Offhand, Sonia Citron comes to mind. Pretty sure James from NC State is in that category too.

Rivers and James both were seniors and graduating. Utsby from UNC as well.

One thing I’m hoping for is that Kara Dunn is merely swapping ACC teams and ends up in Raleigh :)

So based on that, that would be 4 out of the 15 who graduated. That leave us with 7 transfering out of the conference. Approximately 50%. Again, dang

Yikes--this is horrible. There's not enough talent returning to the conference (and not enough entering the conference to offset the losses). Hannah is Hannah and Toby has potential, but the rest? Big yikes--zero star power (unless you like crash outs in red or blue-clad players who can't lead their team to 20 wins in two tries already). The Big East has more star power than this! I believe that the SEC has more returning talent (even accounting for the voters' snub of the Vanderbilt forward) and are set to bring in more top end talent from the ACC.

I'll say this for the millionth time. Snubbing those VT players was egregious (and especially so considering this paltry list of returnees). The ACC may have the worst voters of the power conferences.

Bold means they are staying put (as far as I can tell at the moment). Red means transferring. Green means graduated.

By my count 12 of the 25 on 1st and 2nd team exhausted eligibility.

Of the 13 who could be back 8 are coming back (as of now) and 5 are leaving.

Losing nearly half of your best returning players obviously is not ideal! I think 2 can easily be explained as Morgan and Dunn had a coaching change take place. Miles and Latson are the ones that really hurt the conference because not only are they all conference types, arguably they are first team all American types.

Ashlon Jackson isn't leaving Duke. She has one year of eligibility left. She completed her degree in 3 yrs.

Ah, thanks for the correction. I just saw Sr on the list and went with that.

It's early, but none of these transfers into the ACC are moving the needle. It's very much giving "meh" at this point.
