The older threads on him are probably locked. Time to start a new one.

UConn: “It’s a good winning program. They have a winning history.”

“I’m feeling good,” Toure said of his summer so far. “Making this move, it was a big move for me. But I’m adjusting everyday. All together, all the games I’ve played, we haven’t lost a game yet. So I’m feeling good. We’re improving every game.”

Good article on Toure in the New Haven Register. I'm sure we're going to hear a lot about him.

UConn men's basketball coach Dan Hurley, associate coach Kimani Young and assistant Luke Murray made the trip to West Haven to watch one of Toure’s workouts about a month or so ago, Notre Dame-West Haven coach Jason Shea said. The Huskies offered a scholarship to Toure, a 6-foot-6 small forward and a 5-star recruit ranked 24th in the 247 Composite rankings for the Class of 2026, in January. It is one of 19 scholarship offers Toure has received.

“They (the UConn coaches) are good people. (Hurley) is chill, a funny guy. We were having conversations, laughing. It was a good time,” said Toure from Italy, where he is playing in the Adidas Eurocamp for the Boston Amateur Basketball Club AAU outfit. “It’s a big deal and a great opportunity to showcase my talent in a workout.”

Toure is getting some really unique opportunities to travel through basketball.

And Hurley being described as "chill" is not something I would have expected. Maybe off the court.

Some serious coaches at the event too. Gotta love every second of high-level coaching.

Someone send Toure those UConn workout videos from last summer. He'll change his mind about Hurley very quickly. Lol

It's telling that nobody has offered him since UConn offered and he's staying at Notre Dame West Haven for his senior season.

I read somewhere that he’s staying at ND-WH for his senior year. I don’t know why but that feels like good news to me in regards to recruitment. Hurley can sell him on becoming a state hero like Clingan.
Yes, you read it in the article I posted above. Lol

Toure said that he is staying for his senior year at Notre Dame.

“Yes, I’m staying,” Toure said. “It’s not that hard to stay at a place you love.”

Was glad to see him say that he's staying. I have high school/college age kids near NDWH and my daughter came home from a dinner last week saying that Toure is going to prep his senior year in Utah. you know, heard from a sister of a friend of friend kind of thing.

Article says his coach is being asked by college coaches if it's worth pursuing him (read that as whether he already knows where he's going). He's picked up major D1 offers in the last week, so the answer is clearly yes.

Well, at this point in the recruitment, he isn't going to say no, even if it was a foregone conclusion where he's going.

Are there any stats about how the jumper has looked.was wondering if he’s become more consistent with it

Toure is #12 in the On3.com 2026 recruiting rankings that were updated today.

Btw, what happened to my subject title for this thread? I would never spell his name like that and pretty sure I never did. Can a moderator fix it?

Interesting timing. He had a pretty forgettable Adidas camp the past few days.

Damn, St John bosco has 3 players in the top 10!

Wait, is this....

Interesting #26 & #33 appear to be 6'11 twin brothers from White Plains Darius & Adonis Ratliff. Only 200lbs but nearby and must have skills.

I recall seeing our Sam Funches play in the major AAU tournament that used to be at University of Hartford.

They are studs - Theo Ratliff’s kids at Stepinac.

The writeups for him are good. I started watching one of the games and found it so boring I didn't make it through the first quarter.
