This is not a good omen for our chances in getting Toure. The founder of Abdow's Big Boy restaurants has passed away.
He was a legend. I'd put his breakfast buffet up against Shoney's any day!

So this kid is like JRoss the 5 star all American version? Interesting if we land him , his freshman year will Ross’s senior year. Could have epic perimeter defense that year.

I suggest folks get out to watch his state tournament games. $10 tickets to the greatest show in CT.

This kid is basically the perfect model of what Hurley needs to bring to the roster.

I watched two of his games in person and a few online this year. He's an elite athlete with a quickly improving skillset. Long, strong, elite jumper. Great mid-range game. Improving 3-point shot (that is super inconsistent right now). Transition buckets.

He struggles with that self-creation in the half-court... but frankly, he's being quadruple teamed every time he touches the ball. We'll see more of what he can do in AAU where they play a bit more 1v1

I love that he plays with violence. The only violent player we have is Reed right now

This is the exact type of player we need to balance the roster. Legit must get, IMO. As you said, we have no "violent" players and nobody who can make things happen based solely on athleticism and play downhill. I don't think we had much of a chance, but this is why I really wanted the kid who went to Baylor (Tounde...).

Anybody have an idea if he plans to go the prep route for his senior year or is he going to stick it out at ND?

There was talk of him prepping this year, but obviously that didn't happen. It wouldn't surprise me if he went prep or stuck it out at NDWH. Doesn't matter to me as long as we get a commitment after this summer.

Agree with you on Toure and Tounde. Not getting Tounde hurt. He looked like a Larry Johnson clone.

Good nickname for Toure: Toure-nado?

We could use a transition rim threat anyways. We can let him develop his half court game. Has the body to play defense day 1.

I won't say it too loud, but he looks like a Pitino kid. Mid-range game, strong, defender.

I love that he has such a great mid range jumper. It's wild to me how much it's been phased out of the game. I see the middle open all the time and players will instead take contested threes or crash into people down low. It's why SGA and St. John's are so refreshing.

Saw Toure have 6 alley-oop dunks in one game. I've followed CT high school hoops for a LONG time and have never seen that before.
