Yes, my buddy knew him from some camp. We were at an all-star game of CT best high schoolers at the time. Edmund's senior year of high school, Will Solomon, Tip Vinson.

Bobby Moore was a junior and the best guy on the court but he hadn't dunked yet in the game. We all yell out to him on the sideline that he needs to dunk during the game. He laughs at us and then like 2 possessions later he wraps the ball around the defender bounces it off the backboard and dunks it. Most ridiculous thing I've seen a player do in a game.

It's a real shame he never got it together and played in college.

I just remember seeing him play for MCI against T-More, I think in '97 or so? I can't remember who else was on MCI, but both teams were loaded. Moore was the quickest and most explosive player I had ever seen. I believe the "ridiculous" aspect. He was like a player I would've created in a video game. I think at one point, he was a top 10 player in his class.

The only high school player I remember seeing who was as explosive was Schea Cotton when he played at T-More. It was like watching a "Pro's vs. Joe's" thing. Next level athleticism. It's a shame the system screwed him over so much.

That show "Pros vs Joes" needs a redux.

That's strange reasoning. Burrell played at Hamden High. Hamden High is not in New Haven but Wilbur Cross is. Doug Wiggins was from East Hartford. Does that count as a player from Hartford?
Well if you knew some of the politics many New Haven kids miraculously come up with a “Hamden address” to attend Hamden High.

Was he born in New Haven because that’s where the hospital is or did his parents live in New Haven when he was born? If it’s the latter then when did he move to Hamden?
According to my Dad who he was good friends with, “Scott is a New Haven guy. Period”.

All the good high schools have that and it's annoying as hell. One of my former players "had an uncle" who lived in Windsor before he transferred. I had it on good authority (my own eyes) that the kid was commuting from 4 towns over.

He looks bored at times, and is clearly the best player on the court. If he has the right coach to push him, that kid could be really special.

This was my first time seeing him. It was really hard to evaluate him. At the CIAC level, he clearly is in a league of his own athletically. Bigger, stronger, more explosive, etc. But does that translate to UConn and having an impact as a freshman? That was less Convincing. In many ways, it almost felt as if he wasn’t even trying. The first half was basically hanging around the perimeter, not forcing anything, but also not really being involved. The second half was better. After ND of Fairfield erased an 18 point lead, Toure definitely seemed more engaged and sort of took over. He was the best on the court but I wouldn’t say dominant. He seemed to play at one speed the entire game. He also allowed the game come to him and I don’t recall even a single turnover. To me, there is clear upside to the kid and I left the gym wanting to see more. I think it’s obvious he is better suited to go the prep route next season and play stronger competition. My hunch is he will be more engaged and forced to play harder. Last night was just ok to me. I expected to see more but he wasn’t really challenged. The next best player on the floor was a 5 10 sophomore from Fairfield. The kid was super quick and did frustrate Toure a bit in the second half. In all, I think of just three plays were Toure showed next level stuff. A really nice offensive rebound in the first half, a step back 3 and 1, and a really nice drive to the hoop. That was basically it. The place was packed and I did not see any staff.
Lot of people said that about Donovan too

How’d that work out???

Unfortunately for PC, English won't be their coach in 2026, so it's all for naught.
