Didn’t say ours wasn’t, but those dudes are willing to give dudes like a million, i don’t think we’re doing that.I hate this whole idea and acting like a kid going somewhere else is a character flaw. Our NIL is strong as hell.

It’s even funnier when you realize we’re probably top 10 in NIL spending. Maybe slightly behind the Arkansas and Dukes of the world, but in the same ball park as them easily.I hate this whole idea and acting like a kid going somewhere else is a character flaw. Our NIL is strong as hell.
Are you both talking about NIL or revenue sharing? Or a combination of the two that you're generalizing as NIL? Because with the new rules NIL won't be as much as it was the last couple years. Unless you have someone like Cooper Flagg come along who can get national advertising opportunities, the NIL dollars won't be that large. It’s even funnier when you realize we’re probably top 10 in NIL spending. They all told us Cooper Flagg was a "generational talent" just last year. Now this kid is just as good??? 🙃For example, Darryn Peterson at Kansas is ranked as the top 2025 recruit (by 247Sports) and might be as good as Cooper Flagg in his one year in college. But will we see him on national TV ads that would be worth big bucks? The local Lawrence/Kansas City based businesses can't give him more than what is market for a local ad.
Could be. Watch him score more points for Kansas than Flagg did for Duke. They all told us Cooper Flagg was a "generational talent" just last year. Now this kid is just as good??? 🙃
I am just generalizing. The point being we pay our players handsomely, just like the schools people here love to talk down on.Are you both talking about NIL or revenue sharing? I believe we are just outside the top 10 in that category. Norlander wrote an article recently that had UConn in the “tier 2” behind a top 10 in the 10 million dollar club. It’s even funnier when you realize we’re probably top 10 in NIL spending. Was there 10 schools in tier 1? I also doubt Norlander got permission to post our budget from anyone within the program officially.I believe we are just outside the top 10 in that category. Except this coming season is the last for this type of NIL. So no recruits and transfers are getting that kind of money going forward with the new rules and revenue sharing. Why does everyone forget about this? I think I’ve posted about it, including articles, about 10 times in the last few months.I believe we are just outside the top 10 in that category. Yeah there were 10 albeit it’s more of a calculated guess than factWas there 10 schools in tier 1? I also doubt Norlander got permission to post our budget from anyone within the program officially.
I didn’t forget about that. I’m talking about the right now. Could that be different in a few months? Sure.Except this coming season is the last for this type of NIL. Got it. Starting in 2026-2027 season this NIL stuff won't be an issue.I didn’t forget about that. I’m talking about the right now. Could that be different in a few months? Sure.
That's cute that you think the NCAA is actually going to enforce that. There is a less than zero chance these market value rules are ever even attempted to be enforcedExcept this coming season is the last for this type of NIL. D Clingan says hibut it'll fall in line with kids from CT not being very big UConn fans.
You're always right so you're probably right about this too. We'll see. There are a lot of people who agree with you. That's cute that you think the NCAA is actually going to enforce that. There is a less than zero chance these market value rules are ever even attempted to be enforced
Not sure why you always start off every reply to me with saying I'm always right, but sure. I just don't see any way the NCAA will be able to legally cap the NIL deals, they'll be sued into oblivionYou're always right so you're probably right about this too. We'll see. There are a lot of people who agree with you.

As college basketball enters its most uncertain era yet, few believe the new rules will stop the flow of money
College basketball's next phase in the revenue-sharing era has many questioning what's real and if cheating will come back in a big waywww.cbssports.com
He was our what, second CT recruit in the last 15-20 years?D Clingan says hi
Don’t want to make it seem like an actual issue. Because yeah, CT produces a UConn level player once every few years or so if that.Recruiting local and in-state has never been less important than it is right now.
Unless you consider the prep schools. Didn’t Bama grab a CT prep kid this year?Don’t want to make it seem like an actual issue. Because yeah, CT produces a UConn level player once every few years or so if that.
Whereas Jersey probably produces 3-5 every year.
It’s just an observation. I wonder if Toure follows suit to want to leave CT like most CT kids or if we’ll be able to keep him home.
I’m far less informed on this situation than the Betsey situation. Never believed Betsey was coming here.
possibly. I’m only talking about kids UConn would actively recruit though.Unless you consider the prep schools. Didn’t Bama grab a CT prep kid this year?
Jemison ended up being ranked higher by 247 than Bundalo & Adams and went to Hurley's buddy Oats, after getting an offer from Kansas as well. Yet we never even took a look at him in our backyard it seems.possibly. I’m only talking about kids UConn would actively recruit though.
Yes, London Jemison from Bloomfield, CT. He was teammates with Tyler Betsey for one season at St. Thomas More. UConn didn't recruit him. Another CT kid from the Hartford area DJ Hawkins who is at St. Thomas More just got an offer from Syracuse.Unless you consider the prep schools. Didn’t Bama grab a CT prep kid this year?
