AAC vs. Big East in Basketball...Interesting

Worry about when the P-5 conferences get to pay their players, pay their insurance for loss of an NBA career and the rest of us can't.

IIRC prior articles (regrettably, I don't have any link) said that UConn would get a distribution similar to that mentioned by the OP. Unfortunately, it is also due to be distributed over 7 years (incentive for UConn and other old Big East teams not to leave the AAC). When spread over 7 years, the amount is merely a bit of a band-aid over losses from the poor TV contract.
I thought it was over 5 years.

The AAC will also get Louisville and Syracuse's NCAA credit money, paid out over 6 years. Last season a making a Final Four was worth nearly $10 Million in credits. The year before that, around $8 Million. Louisville is leaving nearly $30 Million in credits, prior to this season. If we win a couple in the tourney, add another $4-5 Mill.

And soon you get to add, Tulsa and East Carolina and I bet Southern Miss if you play your cards just right...

A DePaul or Seton Hall by any other name is still DePaul or Seton Hall.
