Louisville ends the half on a 45-6 run. Leading 58-16. Wow.

A lot of tongue slobbering over how good SMU and Larry Brown were when they beat us in Gampel but that loss always said more about us than them. They are just not a very good team outside of Moody Coliseum and that's been pretty proven all year. Houston didn't even play that great down the stretch and still won. The Cougs threw one punch at SMU to start the 2nd half and SMU basically played tight the rest of the way.

But with the way Louisville is playing right now it probably doesn't matter.

I thought maybe that score was an error. Holy Crap.

Lousiville's zone is basically just a 3/4 court press for 40 minutes. They are 100% pressure 100% of the time.

I really really hope they aren't turning it on at the right time here ...

Figures to be a tight second half as Louisville clings to a 42 point lead at the break.

Rutgers scored 16 point in the first half...16 points. I've seen 5th grade girls teams score more than that and half of them cant even get the ball up to the basket. Rutgers should simply drop basketball and use the money they save to bring back some program they cut.

Didn't we score 18?

Do you think delaney is getting emails right now from B1G university presidents asking "WTF were you thinking?" and "you think these clowns are going to deliver New York?" and "we paid $30 million a year for this?" and "are you working on your resume, because you should be?"

Good idea. Let's get busy.

Looks like Rutgers has 2 feet out the door already. Well I guess that isn't any different than how they were in the Big East for the last 10 years!

Wow! Ville's last 2 games margin of victory is too painful for me to add up, but I'm sure its monstrous.

Just saw the stat with 4:30 left... Ville has 44 points on turnovers.

I don't think I've ever heard of anything remotely close to that.

Louisville is the best team in the country.

If the officials call the game tight they can lose. If they are allowed the full benefit of their athleticism, it will be very hard to beat them.

I didn't think they would be able to replace what they lost from last season in Dieng and Siva. But they look like they are on the way to another final four, I think.

Two extremely good matchups for them these past two games. They beat Rutgers by almost 50 a few weeks ago as well.

They really are clicking though ... really would hate to see them win back-to-backs.

Ville demolished us in the last game. They are now up 60 points on RU. What do you call that?

Would ville be better or worse if behanen and ware were playing? Obviously they add talent but Harrell might not have exploded and behanen seems like a potential locker room problem.

Just saw that final score in the 'Ville game. Thought that was a typo for sure lol.

That's probably the biggest point differential between conference opponents this season.

For all the Connecticut fans down there today. I hope ya have a great time and that we are all rewarded with a great victory. Can't wait for tip off!!!!

I hate to say it but a team playing at its highest level at the right time.

Clearly, L'ville is playing exceptional defensive basketball right now, but also aided by a subtle change in officiating c/w early in the season, as much of the contact that they routinely got away with against UConn and Rutty was called early in the year. They could really cause problems for teams that lack good ballhandlers and other players who can finish at the rim.
It is also remarkable how their players seem to be much more fit than early in the season. Van Treese looks like a different player. Mathiang now has a lot of muscle when he was a string bean. Blackshear and Harrell are beasts.

Isaiah Sykes for UCF is a stud. I expect UCF, Houston, Temple to make strides next year in this conference.
