AAC Tournament Games Thread

This game turned ugly fast. Butler-UConn repeat in the 2nd half. Refs not helping allowing defenses to maul each other and than calling illegal screens to negate a made 3.

Out of the timeout the refs FINALLY call a hold away from the ball on BOTH teams. They have been doing it ALL game.

Cincinnati is on a 9 minute scoring drought and Houston is on a 4 minute scoring drought. Yikes.

Gray playing hero ball taking off balanced jumpers and missing lay ups on one possession.

Refs have finally figured out neither team can score because they are holding and grabbing each other away from the ball. Now calling it.

This makes me a little nervous for the AAC. Some 5'9 guy on Jacksonville St is going to get hot while Cincy struggles to score 55 points and Cincy gets upset early.

That’s pretty much exactly what is going to happen.

Thoroughly enjoy that Raftery can float between doing the Big East games for Fox and just slide on over to CBS/Turner come tourney time.

This is a pretty good final. Tied with 33 seconds, Houston ball.

Gray can’t give up the ball there.

LOL Gray was a BASKET CASE down the stretch. A bundle of nerves.

He got absolutely killed on one play and then got hit wih a foul immediately after. While Cincy got 2 made up gifts to keep hem in the game right before hat.

Cincy didn’t even have to run a play in the last 30 seconds.

So does Cincy get a 2 seed?

The way the committee has shown a lack of respect for the AAC these past few years I could see them getting a 3 and meeting up with Kentucky in the 2nd round.

But personally I think, at 30-4, winning the AAC season and tourney, they deserve outside consideration for 1. But that won't happen. Nova and Virginia are very clearly 1 seeds. Maybe MSU but that fourth one seems open.

If the past is any indication they probably end up with a 4 seed.
