So I'm told the SEC MBB champ game will take the 1 pm Sunday slot on ESPN (no longer on ABC) and the American will be after that

Opposite the B1G championship on CBS.

After looking at that conference schedule ....It helps to watch the end of the Michigan St game and Kentucky final to make things all feel better again....

I feel your pain, I'd have rather have been in the ACC and gotten swept away by Mercer in the round of 64.

From a coach's perspective, Sunday afternoon game is not preferred for AAC Championship if you have to play a Thursday game in the NCAA.

Yeah, yeah and playing 5 games in 5 days in your conference tournament was supposed to kill your NCAA Tournament chances too.

I love the complete ignorance on here sometimes.

My first UConn games I ever attended were the 1994 and 1995 Big East Tournaments. They were held on CBS. And the semi finals and finals were held on Saturday and Sunday...afternoon.

Man what a joke of a league to do that. Ugh!

And life in the AAC just couldn't get any worse....in a year where we won a National Title. I just couldn't enjoy winning it all knowing we were in the AAC.

I'm glad you have found memories of Big East games on Sundays...

But that doesn't change the fact that Sunday afternoon games are not desirable anymore. You're ignorant if you don't realize that. There are a lot of reasons why the ACC wanted out of Sunday (http://espn.go.com/ncb/story?storyId=10926000&src=desktop).

ESPN gave the ACC what they wanted and forced the AAC to accept the leftovers. Not shocking. Go AAC...!

Speaking of seeding, I wonder if the AAC will get any respect next year. The selection committee really overrated the "Big East" and A-10 this year and were all busts. Leave to our Huskies to make the committee look super dumb.

I believe the the brackets, teams and seeding are pretty much set by Saturday night (if not before). The Conference Championship games are primarily about the ratings and lead-in to the Selection Sunday "unveiling".

Though 14-15 schedule is set for 18 league games, AAC coaches today talked about reducing to 16 in future and majority were in favor...

However, league contract with ESPN specifies an 18-game schedule and ADs may not agree with coaches.
