AAC in NCAA Tourny

Why are you asking why the AAC is inept in the tournament?
It was more a rhetorical question out of frustration. I'm well aware how mediocre the conference is. I have repeatedly stated how overrated the likes of Houston and UCF are.

But that doesn't mean I'm not going to support the conference or not wear gear to support the conference. Of course I would wear gear to support the AAC, as long as UConn is in it.

I think one of the reasons the AAC struggles in the NCAA Tournament is the officiating. Temple is probably the least physical AAC team, and they were racking up fouls like crazy. You can get away with murder in the AAC, but not anywhere else.

Is South Florida for real?

I was wondering what you were referring to, than while checking the NCAA times for tomorrow, I saw that USF was getting wrecked by Stony Brook. Is that even an NIT game? Or CBI? We need to build a new core because any core finishing 9th in this league has failed.

This South Florida game is a sick reminder of just how far our program has fallen.

By the end of the year, Memphis and probably Wichita were better than them.
Maybe/probably but they pretty much suck too. The conference is just extremely weak, our standing in it just shows how much Ollie wrecked things after the championship.

We finished ahead of 3 teams- 2 of them being 4 win Tulane and 10 win East Carolina.

I bet USF 2h -8.5... was looking to activate the BY jinx. They still suck tho. Stony Brook’s coach already left.

20 point swing and USF takes the lead. Crazy game.

It just looks like Chris Mullin doesn't care.
Poor St. John's. They should be so much better than they are. They are loaded with talent.

Mullin has 2 years remaining on his contract. Watching him on the sidelines he seems very uneasy with his players. They'll have to decide next year in all likelihood if they are going to keep him. No one anymore can recruit with a coach who has a year remaining on his contract. He doesn't look comfortable coaching.

I saw Mullin in a couple games this year where he was off to the side of the huddle and one of his assistants was running the show and it was not a situation where Mullin said something to the assistant and had him then speak with the team. It was as if Mullin didn't know what to say or had seen enough and didn't want to waste his time.

Archie Miller is another guy who doesn't appear to know what to do at times. In a game near the end of the year there was a questionable call and Miller just stood there looking lost and not challenging the call. Bruiser Flint then stepped forward and said something to the refs and they reviewed the video and overturned the call in Indiana's favor.
