Question for the doom and gloomers: If it is so obvious to everyone that there is some subset of chosen teams that will survive, and everyone else is screwed, why haven't dozens of athletic programs dramatically slashed their spending and de-emphasized sports? I don't think anyone is going to eliminate their own jobs before they have to. Although Indiana of all schools seems to be cutting spending. The best course is to ignore the problem. Hope everything turns out alright in the morning.

Like I've said; shifting focus to basketball is great news for UConn.

Some form of merger/partnership/media deal between the Big East and ACC benefits both parties.

When that happens, UConn is likely playing football with an ACC patch when the dust settles.
