Morgan should listen to the Breanna sound bite on ESPN. The one where Breanna says something like once you leave college, you can never get that back. So I'm going to savor every minute of it. Morgan has an opportunity to experience a whole other year of the college experience. And as the clear leader of the team. As Geno told Morgan, she can get 25 shots a game next year.
She is an All American. But not in the first team. They will not give 3 AAs in the first team to a single school.Morgan should have been named an All American. I am piss!!!
How's this for motivation - If the Huskies win the national championship this year & she stays & they win again next season she will become the ONLY player - man or woman to win FIVE national championships!!!!!I think, in order to get Morgan to stay, we should put her up on the Wall of Honor..... Then, next year, promise her that before all home games, before or after the national anthem, the crowd will celebrate her by having a "moment of reverence" where the assembled masses salute her banner on the wall..... If she will not take that deal, then I propose she be named honorary assistant coach for the entirety of the season.

I believe that is enough for her pic in UConn wall.
I think trying to talk Morgan Tuck in to staying for another year for ANY reason is a BAD idea!
As were Stef, Bria, and Stewie the year before that. And Renee, Tina, and Maya in 2009. And Sue, Swin, and Diana in 2002. So yeah, it's not exactly unheard of.Last year KML, Stewie, and Moriah were all WBCA First Team All Americans
Yes, but it is a 10 people AA. May be I was wrong Tuck should be in this 2016 list.Last year KML, Stewie, and Moriah were all WBCA First Team All Americans
I believe in allowing "this" bird to fly!! She has earned a change. Only US fans would gain anything if she stays.Oh, selfish, selfish, selfish. Let the bird fly.
A very nice dream. But I fear it is only a dream. Morgan Follow the money--and jump to Europe and retire in 4 or five years. Some dreams come true- some turn into nightmares....How's this for motivation - If the Huskies win the national championship this year & she stays & they win again next season she will become the ONLY player - man or woman to win FIVE national championships!!!!!
While the requirement to be on the wall is an AA (I'm not sure what else)--it is impossible for me to think that anyone in Geno's historic march toward 11 has done more for the program and winning number 8910 championship than Morgan Tuck.I think, in order to get Morgan to stay, we should put her up on the Wall of Honor..... Then, next year, promise her that before all home games, before or after the national anthem, the crowd will celebrate her by having a "moment of reverence" where the assembled masses salute her banner on the wall..... I've a better idea. How about 100 BY-er crawling naked across 100 yards of broken glass while pleading. That will be more acceptable to the NCAA than this idea.It is known that she is smart, a proven leader on the team, and has a smart basketball IQ.
Why not propose that if you stay one more year then after your WNBA career is over, you will have an assistant coaching job here with me at UConn?
Which midwestern teams are you speaking of, if I may ask?i can't imagine a UConn player could be bribed with individual accolades and acknowledgements. Those sound like the kind of things players at certain midwestern or southern schools seek out. UConn players are more into the team.
you may ask but i don't care to name names. it is more on the player than the program, but lesser programs have different trade offs in terms of personalities they will accept to get more talent.Which midwestern teams are you speaking of, if I may ask?
