I see people floating 10-11 man rotations with 9 guys that would start at the high major level. That is not happening.

Hurley plays 9 guys max.

Here is a best cast scenario IMO:

Demarey
Ball
Mullins
Khamenia
Hines

Ross
Stewart
Landrew
Backup PG (won’t be Wilkins)

Ross and Khamenia would probably both have to play 4-5 minutes at the five and we play small when they are in at the five.

That rotation is good enough to win the whole thing.

This is what we should be shooting for.

No backup Center? No way is Ross or Khamenia playing backup 5. They are 3's who could play a little 4 but that is it. We could be in a lot of trouble if Hines gets in foul trouble and can he play 30+ minutes for us yet? We need a backup Center. PG might be County. A little too early to look at who will be playing in our rotation when 3 guys haven't committed on returning.

Ross is going to play the 5?

Is there another Ross brother that is much taller that I am unaware of?

That's a thought. If we do get a backup center, I have a feeling (although technically unrelated) that Mullins does not come back:

Demarey
Ball
Ross
Khamenia
Hines

Stewart
Landrew
County or transfer back up PG
Back up C

No chance in hell any guy under 6'9'' is getting minutes at the 5 for Hurley. Hurley LOVES his 2-headed monster philosophy at center and even though Hines has a ton of potential, I don't think Hurley will rely on him being the only true center in the rotation. I think an undervalued center from a mid major is all we'll be able to get with how expensive bigs are.

Demary
Ball
Mullins
Khamenia
Hines

transfer PG
Ross
Stewart or Landrew
transfer C

Not sure the Center has any impact on Mullins coming back. Actually if we get Khamenia that has a bigger impact on who is coming back between Mullins, Ball and Stew(especially him).

No but whether Mullins comes back dictates the rest of the rotation. We can spend more on a back up center if he goes pro. I'm afraid that Stewart is 50/50 on coming back. I don't think he's a starter, but I think he's a great glue guy off the bench.

P.S. Norlander says we are heavy on a top 15 transfer that has not been announced (as of this afternoon). Khamenia is not top 15 and I don't think he was referring to Hines.

We need a backup Center who can help Hines(only played 18 MPG and does foul a little bit) no mater what Mullins does. We are super small team without some more size at the 5. That is the next priority is a backup Center if we get the Duke guy.

Before Reibe went portaling, the 4 spot was our biggest positional need. I like Khamenia and his fire but it feels like we're re-running the same playbook. I think we need to get bigger and more athletic somehow. More dunks, please.

Landrew will start if he is all that he is said to be. Mullins moves to shooting guard.

Thread title: A realistic roster

First post: the most unrealistic roster possible.

You want 10 minutes a game ON AVERAGE without a center on the floor? Did you watch any of the last 8 seasons?

There is a reason UConn is involved with the likes Able and Hall.
