Good to tout the defense because it is the area that distinguishes UConn from everyone else in the field. In a game in which the Huskies' best shooters could not find the ocean, the d was the way that gave UConn the time to regain its footing.
This game illustrated the way that the Huskies could lose (gasp!); go ice cold and count on holding off the opponent. BUT should the opponent have more than 1 player, trouble could brew.
Now, we have the Irish again, a team we already beat by the largest MOV in the history of the rivalry. ND also has a player who can put up numbers, the dreaded HH. (She is also extremely annoying with all the chest pounding.) Regardless, we should prevail.
After the Irish, it's probably SC and UCLA. This is where the title will be decided, and we'll need some offense to go with our d.

Connecticut now holds the aggregate records for most assists, and steals in a season, but in neither of those cases do they have the highest average per game. This year's assists per game are currently (23.57) second all-time to Villanova (24.7, 1987) and would break the school record of 23.3 set in 2017. Steals per game (15.76) aren't even in the top 20 all-time: Grambling's old record of 580 in 1997 was set in only 30 games. [Connecticut set a record for aggregate blocks in 2014 which also wasn;t a per-game record; South Carolina broke both in 2023.]

So, through the first 4 games of the NCAA Uconn has set new NCAA season records for assists (890) and steals (597) and in the next game should take both records into a new century breaking 900 and 600 marks for the first time ever.

On an individual team basis Uconn has 5 players with 100+ assists. This has reportedly only been done 4 previous times in the NCAA era, all by Uconn teams - 2011, 2015, 2017, and 2018. (checked Uconn and one of the announcers mentioned this being the fifth time ever for a D1 team and Uconn having done the previous 4.)

KK is leading the group with 170 assists and top 10, #10 has a tie at 191, not likely KK approaches that this year.

On a individual team basis Uconn has two players with 100+ steals - Sarah is at 127 good for #2 all time at Uconn having passed Jen Rizzotti who is now #3 with 112, she is not likely to reach #1 Sales who sits at 143. KK has 100 thefts good for a 3-way tie for 9th with MoJef and Gabby. This is the third time Uconn has had two players with 100+ steals on the same team. Azzi Fudd currently sits at 97 steals and may well join Sarah and KK in triple digits next weekend - if that happens it would be a record for Uconn and might be an NCAA record as well?

Finally KK has an A/TO hovering around 4.0 - currently at 3.95. Unless she melts down next weekend she will end the year with a Uconn record, passing Paige's record set last year of 3.52.
