A new (and, imho, perfect) cognomen for Gabby?

Gabby's great strength on the defensive end is her ability to get into rebounding position. She also reads the ball off of the rim well and continues to improve here. In 1 1/2 years she has become a beast. She takes chances jumping into passing lanes, and although she can make mistakes there she often anticipates well. If her improvement with her shot continues as well as in these other areas we're talking All American.

Collier on the other hand seems to need work offensively. She likes the dribble drive from the right and she wants to finish with her left hand. She needs to dribble from the high post as well as the left side and finish. She needs more confidence in her shot and extend it to the foul line. She has good shooting form and all of these seem solvable. Defensively she reads the ball off the rim better I think than anyone on the team. She needs to improve her rebound positioning, her strength, and importantly, better footwork defending off the dribble. Her and Gabby need to stay out of foul trouble and stay on the court.

Freshman....

Bags27 coined it in the game thread; "Random Chaos"! What could possibly fit better. For me, at least, from here on out the Gabbulous one shall be known as "Random Chaos"!

On the ESPN threads last year, Moriah had several "cognomens" given to her by various posters. One was "teeny", the other was "Bugsy". I don't know the origin of teeny.

Bugsy was short for jitterbug, which is what Doris Burke called her during the second half of their championship game against Notre Dame 2 years ago. I remember Burke calling her that. It was said with much respect and admiration.
Burke was quite impressed with Jefferson's play during the game and the tournament. As were we all.

A recent Geno interview: he said that most players--male and female--wait for the rebound to get to them, but that Gabby anticipates and goes after it.

Don't sleep on Kyla and Molly. They are underrated and will surprise a lot of people. You can't teach hard work, and both Kyla nd Molly work hard.

Gabbulous as Random Chaos. Let me chew on it.

I've posted this before, but, since the topic has come up again...

"they're bouncy, floucy, trouncy, pouncy!" T-I-DOUBLE G-ER!

Agreed! And the following year it will be Gabby, KLS, Collier, and Crystal.
Although, must we wait a whole year? I have a feeling she will come out strong next year and get right into his rotation no problem. Especially since we lose moriah, I can see her as an option on the floor before Courtney (maybe not before Saniya tho)

I feel he will use her like he used Moriah, a little at first, and then full swing (once Saniya leaves after next year). She's gonna be awesome can't wait!
