Maryland leads Miami at the half 38-33
After the big win over the LVs, Vandy is watching it slip away against Goergia, 68-57
Marquette in a slugfest with Depaul, leading 44-39
Stanford has not been able to shake UCLA in the first half. 35-30 at the halftme mark
ND and West Virginia in a 13-12 slugfest early.

i expect STanford to pull away in the 2nd half, but i have to admit, i think whoever wins the ACC could steal the 1 seed from Stanford.

Stanford has a SOS of about 22-25 depending on what service you look at. i know their RPI is still #4, but IF Duke runs the table, i'd probably give them the fourth #1 seed regardless of what Stanford does. I know Tara would thoroughly disagree, and our Cardinal friends who visit our board probably would too, but their SOS is just too easy this year.

it's sort of like giving Deleware a 2 seed. i don't care that they are a 1-loss team - they have beaten no one of substance this year really, so even tho their RPI is #6, i'd still make them a 4 seed, or at best a 3 seed...

Watching DePaul-Marquette. As Hrynko matures and improves her decision making, she is going to be an absolutely outstanding PG. I can already see the process happening.

I can't wait until Rutgers/St. John's game. I want to see the fire and fight we saw early in the season. I think the week off could have done it. Also I want to see us pound them, it's payback time.

Ugh. Can't watch ESPNU online and my kids are bogarting the tv. But ND has their hands full with WVU early.

Maryland-Miami is entertaining. Miami keeps coming back, but Maryland has maintained a lead between two and nine points.

I wouldn't disagree, but why would you give the the seed to Duke when we have better RPI? I predicted Duke or MD would be the 1 in the west.

Both Maryland and Miami trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. 73-72 Miami with less than a minute left.

Miami is going to win this. Not with authority, but a win on the road against a top 10 team is a good win, period.

So much for the pretending Terps. The Miami at Duke game on 2/24 is huge.

The way the committee thinks... Stanford could lose at least 2 more games down the stretch.. and still get the #1 seed..... the same committee that will give Tenn a #2 seed over Duke

No way TN gets a 2 seed over Duke, even if Duke loses to Miami. TN is not done losing.

Why did the committee give Stanford the #1 seed over Duke last year, when Duke had the higher RPI, SOS, and more top 25 wins. Same with TENN.... yeah.. im still a bit miffed over last year :p Actually I know the reason.... Jan 31, 2011.... but still..

right now you may, but if both Stanford and Duke win out, i can't see how Stanford has the higher RPI as Duke will have to beat maryland, miami, and then possibly both of them in the ACC tourney... i'd expect that Duke would have the higher RPI at that point. if not, then there's something wrong with the RPI calculations...

I see no difference in 1 and 2 seed and don't care which one we get. As long as we are healthy, are in Fresno and have decent match-ups in first two rounds (not on someone's home court like Vandy), I'll be happy.

Ga Tech is 8-4 in the league... and has Wake Forest, Boston College, VPI, and Clemson to finish the regular season. I guess the WF game could be trouble... but it looks as if they will finish 12-4 in the league. Maryland is also 8-4 in the league.. and has @ UVA, Duke next Sunday, UNC, then @ NCSU. I forget how the tiebreakers work in the ACC, but GaTech could end up as the #3 seed, with Maryland as the 4 seed. Thats the scenario I really dont like at all... if Duke is the #1 Seed. Of course I would much prefer to have Miami and Maryland slug in out in the semis as opposed to having to beat both of them to win the title. I expected Maryland to win today and to beat us next Sunday. Should be interesting.

ND cannot shake WVU at home. 55-53. Achonwa just fouled out.

Edit: now 55-55 with 4:30 left.

Just a general comment- when you throw the ball right at an opposing player's foot, you shouldn't be rewarded with a "kicked ball" call. JMO.

Now 62-61 ND. Peters just fouled out. WVU just airballed a FT shot.

Wow. Mike Carey is amazing. By far the most under rated coach in the game.

Definitely does a lot with relatively little. Would be interesting to see him at either UT (Tennessee or Texas).

Wow. Skylar misses on a wild layup and then fouls WVU, who's in the double bonus. ND might actually lose this.
