The Sliders & Curveballs Podcast

Great article and well deserved. My dad and i live hundreds of miles apart but talk everyday, about uconn M + W basketball. Even in the summer. Anyone who sarcastically calls athletics "sports ball" doesn't know how important a connecting factor it is.

I think I sat with you and your son at a Boneyard sponsored table when KO was first hired, or shortly after the 2014 Championship Vague memory, but it's there.

If I made all that up, please forgive me.

This goes back aways but my dad used to send me newspaper articles on UConn men's basketball in his letters to me, which discussed a lot of things, but often basketball. I could not agree more that sports is a tremendous connecting factor. In fact, it's often one of the first things that we would talk with our future fathers in law about. It's common ground and an easy conversation.

Getting letters from your dad is a great memory in and of itself. I'm inspired now to do this with my sons when they grow up. Thanks for sharing this.
