I was going to wait to post this but it appears we need new mojo ASAP

I switched my mojo beer last year and even though it took some time to catch on it worked it's magic.

I grew up UCONN blue but went to college at Penn State, I learned a love of Rolling Rock there.

Coming home to rekindle the love for the team was easy as Calhoun led the way. I brought
Rolling Rock home with me and as a coincidence it became the mojo beer and I
embraced it.

However something fell off the tracks along the way. A big demon beer company bought
Rolling Rock in 2006 and it all changed including the mojo.

Is it a coincidence that we didn't win a Big East Tournament game after that? I think not.

Our mojo beer was taken over by the devil and things have not been the same since.

I took it upon myself to find a new mojo beer last year (others on this board can confirm this).

A rekindled New England beer that rekindled the team last year. Narragansett. A good flavorful inexpensive beer in the tradition of Rolling Rock with the bonus of coming in pounder cans.

Yes it was Naragansett that guided us through the end of last season and I encourage all
off you to put down your budweiserrollingrock embrace the mojo of Narragansett. A good local
brew that will get us back on track.

This is a dangerous thread

It sounds like someone may have volunteered himself for a hanging to appease the mojo gods.

I can only quote Deepster in a situation like this, "if you believe it is the mojo then it is" or something like that....

.-.
Ironically, he'll be the one to hang you.

When we win by 25 tomorrow because I started drinking at about 4 today and won't stop until we win a game we will see....

Yes, if you believe something helps the mojo then it helps the mojo. Perhaps unfortunately for you, I would wager a large percentage of the members of this board believe hanging you for this thread would help the mojo.

If anyone gets to start this fan, it is someone with his user name.

Yes but I believe in what I said. Rolling Rock got bought by Budweiser in 2006 and we go into a tailspin and don't win a big east tournament game. I right the ship by switching mojo beer and the result is a national championship. It is hard to argue against that.

With all due respect, the ship was righted last year by the almighty Charlie Sheen, not Nagaskiyakiansett beer or whatever.

You're almost right, but not quite.

It was the MakersMuppet first.

I could live with Sam Adams or Harpoon.

I am hoping Wild Turkey somehow becomes a mojo beer, because I've been swimming in it tonight. Everyone who knows anything knows we blow after each NC, yin and yang.

MakersMuppet is dead to me.

You really think that was him and not an imposter? I never did sign up for patsfan.com or whatever it was ... being a Giants fan

Some years ago, I tried to make the case for Flying Dog Ale

Because the name had meaning, and ....well, you just can't go wrong with Ralph Steadman artwork....

In the end, no one was interested....(other than me) and for several games I made it my personal mojo beer....which was a definite improvement over the flavor of Rolling Rock... And it had a pretty good won/loss record for the duration of that experiment.

But I have three things to say about your attempts at Narragansett:

First - Narragansett? Really?

Second - A Rhode Island beer? Really ? Where are you from? URI?

Third - With all of the beers that are brewed in Connecticut or even elsewhere in New England....THAT is the best you could come up with? And you call yourself "beerfan"?

Finally -

For the mojo-semi-literate among us, who believe that you can simply wave a magic wand and summon mojo from whatever quarter you wish.....

Hey guys! I have a great idea for a new mojo beer!

(Do you really think it's just that easy?)

Hang him.
The man's name is "beerfan", maybe he knows what he's talking about. We could go with that stuff that alexd has to smuggle into the state but that might be a logistical nightmare.

"Hi neighbor, have a Gansett"

Here's a chick rating beers. I know you guys will love it. Apparently, now it's a "craft beer". It used to just be cheap Rhode Island beer.

Beerfan absolutely knows his beer.

Ha, ha....Yuengling....not available in New Engalnd but they are now the largest American owned brewery!!!

I've always wondered how many BY'ers talk the ultimate mojo here and then mix in other brews with their sacreds during the season.. hmmmmm... ;)

I've been trying unsuccessfully to make a case for mojo for YEARS, prankster. Good beer. Perfect name. Available in CT.

The diehards here stick with their Rolling Rock swill, and I comply when the need it present. I'm on my way to buy my case.

Drink it all. Drink everything around until we win, then keep drinking whatever it was at the time.

Pep band....ol' buddy....that case....that's for today's game??? :)

Has anyone tried Stateline Ale. It's made in CT only $5.99 a six pack and tastes pretty good. Only seen it at Trader Joes though. Call me Boujee but I have really been digging the Hoegaarden recently

Totally a fake. Jleves, it's dangerous to blaspheme the Muppet like that.

I documented the reasons it was CLEARLY fake here.

Stop, beerfan. You have no idea what you're trying to mess with.
