Tonight is probably the key game of this series for UConn. If Andrew Sears can eat up some quality innings tonight, the bullpen should probably be in decent shape for the rest of this series. We'll see what happens.

If I'm scouting us I would throw nothing but breaking balls. We really struggle with them and laying off the ones way out of the zone. Looking at a lot right down the middle as well.

I would leave Sears in and let him go 100 pitches and save the bullpen. Don't like the move this early. Game is possibly already out of reach. The body language between the 2 teams is very telling as well. Creighton playing like they want it more.

At this point, playing like this with extremely little starting pitching (are we going to start Sears in a playoff game…….), we need to fight like hell to make the tournament at all. Maybe that’s what they’re thinking trying to salvage this one? Idk.

I am sick and tired of these crappy inconsistent college umps. The called strike 3 to Padilla was a foot off the plate, yet we saw Sears get squeezed on several pitches in the first 2 innings.
