I think the two regional finals are set for 2:00 and 4:30. At least that’s what Optimum guide is showing.

Those prices align with the sweet 16 prices for MSG in 2014 .

All four schools will be well represented for this one. And a $500 ticket price is nothing compared to what it cost to get into MSG for the Sweet 16 in ‘14, even before inflation.

But everyone can expect the prices will be less for Sunday if you wait for the fans of Friday’s losers to bail.

It should be a good turnout. But we don't have evidence that the fanbase travels for those intermediate distances.

I'd be shocked if the East regional final isn't the later of the two, no matter which 2 teams advance on Friday. The Midwest is the other Fri/Sun site and none of the potential MW regional final matchups have the same TV juice as whatever combination makes it to Sunday from the East.

I hear ya - last night was rough coming back in this morning to start the work week but , number one it’s Friday night -who cares - and number two - u can always catch up on your sleep. Yeah the east regional final will most likely be the 5:05pm tip on Sunday cause no matter what combination of matchups it is , you have two great teams playing against each other.
 
Given my personal work schedule, this isn't a bad time at all for me. a mid-evening game on Thursday would suck for me, so late night Friday I'm cool with as long as the team has their sea legs!
 
Honestly, I'd rather have a super late start time than some random slot in the afternoon. Allows for a regular Friday and then just lock into the game at night time. Also, for me, I was able to go out and watch the 7 PM games before heading home for the UConn game, so Friday night was a nice mix of socializing and being a hobbit-esque college basketball sicko.

I gotta say, both games I did a 15 minute halftime power nap and it was pretty glorious. By that time, my wife was asleep upstairs, so just 15 minutes on the couch with a blanket, the two cats, very nice.

Actually, I think Amtrak might have a $25 train fair to DC. Unfortunately, I think it starts at 7 PM. Tempting, although it's about a three or 3 1/2 hour trip from here.

Man you are all 😿. Over at the MSU boards they are saying how they are psyched about the late time (other than the team potentially being tired on Sunday if they win.)

I think there is a going to be a huge St. John's contingent there. Easy trip, haven't been to this round in a long time, and the cache of having the Blue Bloods there to play. Duke typically travels well, so won't be surprised if they have a good deal of fans as well. UConn will be represented, just not sure it will be as big as St. John's or Duke. In the end, what I truly want is a UConn v. Duke Elite 8 game with Bobby Hurley sitting behind the UConn bench in full UConn gear. What a sight that would be!!!!!
 
I'm glad we avoided the early time slot in the first two rounds. I've found over the years the games the team tends not to get up for is the early start and those are harder to watch with work.

A late start on a Friday night is a weird thing to be annoyed by unless you work at like 5 am on Saturday which hardly anyone does.

I’ve been to first round games in Buffalo and Boston that were not well attended. Both during championship years.

Who cares —-it’s Friday night sweet 16 national tv prime game/classic doubleheader. What do you guys have to do ? get up at 5 AM when the rooster crows and tend to the farm? Late Tip time is perfect. Work in the day, Get everything done after work , get the kids settled with dinner etc…lock in for St. John’s game , then head out for the UConn game with the fellas. Unless you’re a small child or 90 years old or have to work super early Saturday morning, who cares if it’s a late tip time- especially after a few drinks go down. lol.

When in Boston? UConn championship years? I went to the first 2 rounds about 20 years ago in Boston (can't remember exactly what year) and it was sold out for all 3 sessions. Tickets were not cheap.

The haunted castle and bats are from Scooby Doo.

I like that they included wings, Rolling Rock, Charlie Sheen & Bill Murray, but it feels like a few things are missing, just can't put my finger on it.

Even on the paid version, it's struggled mightily to produce this. Didn't bother trying to get to produce an accurate Senhor. It was enough just to get all the title years shown.

Even in Buffalo those were sellouts but the UConn representation was sparse.

Boston was only a couple years ago, but I think it may have been the 2nd round and not the first.

I was at Worcester about 25 years ago. I made the drive up from Providence where I was living at the time and thought the UConn side of the crowd was not great given the proximity. Buffalo 3x UConn has played there when I attended. And I also caught the first round in Albany.

The NCAA shadowed placed us in the west bracket.

This past weekend was egregious. There was no reason for a game in Philly to be ending at 1 am, especially with the San Diego venue playing on the same day.

This week…for a weekday start, it’s just a necessity that someone play the second game at 9:30-ish. There will be four games in that window over Thursday and Friday.
 
Duke plays at 7pm ... the opening act, that often commands the coveted late slot
We play at 9:45pm, on a Friday Night on CBS

We are the headliners for the night ... with success, often comes change, set your alarms
