Florida State leads 9-7 at the first media timeout.

The officials are very whistle-happy so far. Ten fouls in just 6 minutes. Including a horrendous block/charge call that went the wrong way. Let us hope and pray that the UConn-SC game isn't like this.

Romero picked up her 3rd foul late in the 1st quarter. We won't see her again for a while.
A total of 12 fouls called overall. Might we see 50 fouls in this game?
Antonelli and Mowins are both commenting how there is zero rhythm to this game, and they're right.

I think this game was mislabeled. It says Texas vs. Florida State, but it's really a game between Turnovers and Fouls. Turnovers are currently in the lead, 18-16.

Texas with a nightmarish 2nd quarter so far. McCarty looks like the only Longhorn who showed up.

Florida State is really frustrating Texas, and that's with Romero only playing 6 minutes in the first half, with 3 fouls. FSU 35-26 halftime.

Outside of McCarty, Texas looks nothing like the giant-killer who torched Baylor a week ago. Cold, cold shooting and giving up oodles of O-boards.

Offensive rebounding (13) leading to second-chance points (11) for FSU. Imani Wright and Brittany Brown got hot and combined for five 3's in Romero's absence.

I can't believe these are two teams we played and had decent games with. I think we would steamroll either one now.

McCarty continues to be the lone salvation of the Lone Star Staters. Swishes a 3 at the 3Q buzzer, but that only cuts the lead to 10. And that elicits Antonelli's second "Shoot till your arm falls off!" of the night.

I suppose one downside of being a UConn fan is that my tolerance for all these boneheaded plays is low.
