Egbo IMO is the MVP of this game.
Beginning of 3rd qrtWhen did Collier pick up her fourth foul?
And the No 1 pick wins the LVP award.Egbo IMO is the MVP of this game.
The same thing she did today! This is baffling how ineffective Collier is against Baylor. Boston had her way with Egbo and Smith when she was a Freshmen. What is Collier going to do with the bigs in the WNBA.
Egbo is a lot lot better than she was back then, but another no show by Collier isn't a good sign. She may do better in the pros than people expect with less attention being focused on her. She definitely has the size, athleticism and skills to develop into a really good pro. This is baffling how ineffective Collier is against Baylor. Baylor makes me nervous. They might have the best defender to put on Paige. And not sure who handles Smith playing at the 4.I'd take Creme's bracket for UConn right now. UConn - Baylor - Tenn - Kentucky. Yup, sounds good to me.
#3 at .20 in the 3rd quarter. When did Collier pick up her fourth foul?
Egbo only played 14 minutes due to foul trouble. Boston went up against 6-1 wing Caitlin Bickle and 6-2 forward Na’Lyssa Smith for the majority of the game, but yes, she was dominant. This is baffling how ineffective Collier is against Baylor. I am not saying Mulkey doesn't have some major flaws on perspective but I don't see her thumping her chest and preaching the way Vic does. And she has 3 NCAAT with 3 very different Baylor teams. Add in the disgruntle MSU fan base touting how great he is and yes, I am dispensing some wrath at Vic. Like I said, I want to see him make noise in the NCAAT with another team before I anoint him an elite coach the way so many others on here have. To wit, I put him behind some of these more recently anointed elite coaches:Yeah Vic is the worst. You forgot to mention the time he forced Griner to stay in the closet and the other time when he encouraged mob violence against anyone who dared to express concerns about institutionally condoned sexual assault. Oh wait...
Seems like damned if ya do and damned if ya don't. A commonly heard complaint is how so many schools virtually ignore their WBB program and don't invest in it. So I guess UT's unforgivable sin is caring too much about WBB and over-investing in it? So I guess there's a Goldilocks happy medium that all schools are required to fall within or else they shall incur the Boneyard wrath?
After 4 years at Baylor, she still wasn't taught how to shoot beyond 15 feet; kind of like Nina Davis. She's filled her role well at Baylor as team player, but I have not clue at what position she'd play at the next level as her size and skills are mismatched.I always liked Richards game. She may have a long pro career but it won't be at pg.
Her defense will travel to the W. Didi has smothered plenty of top players in the country. She won't be a point guard. Nor an extra scorer. But teams could use her defense on at least 3-4 positions. After 4 years at Baylor, she still wasn't taught how to shoot beyond 15 feet; kind of like Nina Davis. Better than Collier. But not exactly eye popping. I think if Collier was in Baylor uniform. She would be player of the yearI was hoping Vic the third time round would have come of with a scheme to put Collier in a position to be more successful. I am curious how the other centers in the conference performed against Baylor.
Even not Kamaria. She needs to trade defense for offense. Didi can turn it over just like a freshman could. Owens or Andrews would have probably be more well rounded by now if they were running the show full timeI wonder how much different Baylor could have been if Kamaria was not injured and if she could have played the point. Nothing against Richards, she is great but she obviously is out of position doing a good job. IMO would be more effective off the ball like she was the last two years.
Egbo even if she isn't scoring will cause a lot of teams trouble in the NCAAT with her rebounding and D as of late.
Didi's stat line today was awful. WNBA roster spots are limited; doubt someone wastes a spot for a player with so many offensive flaws. Which WNBA player currently in the league would you compare her to?Her defense will travel to the W. Didi has smothered plenty of top players in the country. She won't be a point guard. Miss St fans will gladly take Vic backThere seems to the "missing narative" that this years WNBA draft simply is not good, that none of the WCBB analysts want to admit as it if would be "derogatory to the game". By comparison, Collier looks good, she's just not going to be a contributor that one would hope the #1 drafted player should/would be.
At 11-7, dare I say that even Karen Aston could have achieved that level of success this year...I jest, I jest, please don't excoriate me for showing some humor. The consistency or lack of consistency of any offense at Texas these last few year is staggering especially considering this team does have talent.

Well Beard not on a roster but definitely comparableDidi's stat line today was awful. WNBA roster spots are limited; doubt someone wastes a spot for a player with so many offensive flaws. Which WNBA player currently in the league would you compare her to?
Didi has never been a great shooter going back to her HS days, she is crafty in the lane and will hit the pull up jumper from time to time but that isn't her strength as a player.Didi's stat line today was awful. Alana Beard? The same Beard who was the #2 overall pick in the WNBA draft back in the day? That's an awful comparison. Pretty sure Beard could drain 3-pointers, but maybe I'm thinking of a different player.Well Beard not on a roster but definitely comparable
Agreed. And, I don't think that translates to a roster spot in the WNBA if you don't have a natural position where you fit in offensively.Didi has never been a great shooter going back to her HS days, she is crafty in the lane and will hit the pull up jumper from time to time but that isn't her strength as a player.
Her strength's as a player is rebounding, defense, and creating off the ball (see the last two years ).
