It’s not even Richards with the turnovers! It’s freakin smith with 5 of the 9 turnovers
Smith, who has a good game, at times get too fancy. Every basket doesn't have to be a highlight.

Why am I rooting for a Baylor beatdown? Something about Vic's drastically bloated contract, his MSU acolytes longing for his return and his way overrated coaching acumen when he really only had 1 generational player to garner him the 2 Final Fours/NCAAT title games? Naw, it couldn't be that...
Yeah Vic is the worst. You forgot to mention the time he forced Griner to stay in the closet and the other time when he encouraged mob violence against anyone who dared to express concerns about institutionally condoned sexual assault. Oh wait...

Seems like damned if ya do and damned if ya don't. A commonly heard complaint is how so many schools virtually ignore their WBB program and don't invest in it. So I guess UT's unforgivable sin is caring too much about WBB and over-investing in it? So I guess there's a Goldilocks happy medium that all schools are required to fall within or else they shall incur the Boneyard wrath?

The Lady Bears control the boards, defense, and the game.

I'd take Creme's bracket for UConn right now. UConn - Baylor - Tenn - Kentucky. Yup, sounds good to me.

This is baffling how ineffective Collier is against Baylor. Boston had her way with Egbo and Smith when she was a Freshmen. What is Collier going to do with the bigs in the WNBA.

The same thing she did today!

The defending National Champions withstood the charge of the players in burnt orange.

Final tally; 66-55, Baylor.

Egbo is a lot lot better than she was back then, but another no show by Collier isn't a good sign. She may do better in the pros than people expect with less attention being focused on her. She definitely has the size, athleticism and skills to develop into a really good pro.

Baylor makes me nervous. They might have the best defender to put on Paige. And not sure who handles Smith playing at the 4.

But then again pretty much everyone makes me nervous.

I'm wondering if her No 1 draft status is more about Dallas having the 1st pick than her talent/skill level. It's no secret that teams want ready-made home town favorites. If say NY had the first pick she still would go to Dallas.

Of course I've always felt that the W draft is "orchestrated".

Egbo only played 14 minutes due to foul trouble. Boston went up against 6-1 wing Caitlin Bickle and 6-2 forward Na’Lyssa Smith for the majority of the game, but yes, she was dominant.

Collier’s string of ineffective games against Baylor are definitely eye-opening.

I am not saying Mulkey doesn't have some major flaws on perspective but I don't see her thumping her chest and preaching the way Vic does. And she has 3 NCAAT with 3 very different Baylor teams. Add in the disgruntle MSU fan base touting how great he is and yes, I am dispensing some wrath at Vic. Like I said, I want to see him make noise in the NCAAT with another team before I anoint him an elite coach the way so many others on here have. To wit, I put him behind some of these more recently anointed elite coaches:
Dawn-more tournament success with different teams, stars (even if the Banner issue is very odd)
Walz-who has consistently kept Louisville near the top, regardless of class and team turnover
Blair-Vic's mentor who not only won a title but also has been able to incorporate egos towards team chemistry
Brenda-who for all her quirks, flaws and other noted issues, seems to also reload, has a title and 2 other Final Fours and looks great again this year.
Kelly-who did have significant success at Gonzaga and St.Mary's before arriving at UO.
Vic-need I remind you, failed at your local U-Stephan F Austin as a HC before resurfacing back at A&M as an assistant and rightfully earning and achieving very notable success at MSU.

But yeah, I am willing to play doubting Thomas to the "Vic brethren of support" that this subforum has created.

I do think Vic will do well at Texas but not so sure he ever supplants Kim....

Current top 4 are:
Geno, Tara, Kim and Dawn. Take your pick of the others listed above for 5-8 ranking.

I always liked Richards game. She may have a long pro career but it won't be at pg.
After 4 years at Baylor, she still wasn't taught how to shoot beyond 15 feet; kind of like Nina Davis. She's filled her role well at Baylor as team player, but I have not clue at what position she'd play at the next level as her size and skills are mismatched.

I was hoping Vic the third time round would have come up with a scheme to put Collier in a position to be more successful. I am curious how the other centers in the conference performed against Baylor.

Her defense will travel to the W. Didi has smothered plenty of top players in the country. She won't be a point guard. Nor an extra scorer. But teams could use her defense on at least 3-4 positions.

I wonder how much different Baylor could have been if Kamaria was not injured and if she could have played the point. Nothing against Richards, she is great but she obviously is out of position doing a good job. IMO would be more effective off the ball like she was the last two years.

Egbo even if she isn't scoring will cause a lot of teams trouble in the NCAAT with her rebounding and D as of late.

Better than Collier. But not exactly eye popping. I think if Collier was in Baylor uniform. She would be player of the year

Even not Kamaria. She needs to trade defense for offense. Didi can turn it over just like a freshman could. Owens or Andrews would have probably be more well rounded by now if they were running the show full time
