On paper should be the most competitive of today's games involving the top 25.

The game is out in LA. UCLA is 2-0 which includes a nice win against Oklahoma in Norman. The Bruins are anchored in the post by former Lady Vol Alyssia Brewer. Jasmine Dixon is healthy again. Freshman standout Nirra Fields didn't play against OK so I'm not sure what's going on there (her guardian is former Laker coach Mike Brown).

The game may be on the Pac-12 network.

Hmmm. Upset possible if Brewer/Dixon combo can outplay Achonwa badly enough.

Just checked the ND website.
Just mentions Pac-12 coverage, no other info.
But:
Radio on UND.com and a further programing note that home games, not nationally televised are available free-of-charge at the aforementioned website. We'll be able to take a peek during the course of the season.

PAC 12 Network here in Chicago!

I will keep you guys posted.

Liking the PAC 12 Network already!

They are invested in WCBB.

UCLA early 8-3.

UCLA looks really good!

I thought maybe in the Oklahoma game that it was a flash in the pan, but they are playing the same way.

Tough inside with Brewer and Dixon. Walker on the outside.

Of note: Diggins has a 5'4 guard on her that is already bothering her with her quickness.

OHHH NO!!!!!

McBride down clutching her ankle!!!!!:(

I hope she is ok.

Question?

Korver and Holliday (guards) are getting substantial playing time as freshman. Yet I havent seen TOP 10 Nirra Fields. She was explosive in the McDonalds AA game. She didnt play in the Oklahoma game either.

She is ok?

UCLA's starting pg Lemberger not playing either. Not sure what is up with Fields. She played in the 1st game but not against OU or today. No word of injury and hope it's not related to Mike Brown's firing.

I was impressed with the athleticism of Jewel Loyd. I think
she's going to be a good one for ND.

Yeah, she was pretty good in the All-Star game.

Hate to say it but ND is going to be a tough opponent again this year and Muffet is a good coach.

I think they'll be tougher than, say, UMD or Penn State, but I don't think they have the size or depth to deal with a team like Uconn. What is Achonwa going to do against Stewart and Dolson? Who's guarding Bria and KML? How can ND handle guard after guard being thrown at Diggins? They will fight a spirited fight, but they will be worn down and defeated.

I will be at Gampel with bells on to witness it!

UCLA starting pg, Thea Lemberger, missed the game after injuring her knee in practice this week. She averages 33.5 mpg and 11.5ppg. She is a very important part of the Bruins team. She was the pg that led the AAU team Cal Swish to the 2009 Nike Nationals championship(same team that Lauren Engeln played for).
Freshman Nira Fields played 11 minutes and was 1 for 7.
