5 Games in 5 Days

This team couldn't win the A10 tournament.

C'mon folks, let's not be delusional. I understand not being totally negative but you have to face the reality of this team...we would be fortunate to win one game.

Just win Saturday and first round in BET and they are still a lock. There are a lot of cruddy teams on the bubble. Frustrating night.

.-.
Wow. I made this thread sarcastically, but some of you guys are overly pessimistic. Anything could happen.

.-.
5 games in 5 days means I can concentrate on hitting the links before we get blind sighted with a major snowstorm. Oh............was this about winning???

.-.
So then what would happen if we won the BET next year? The runner-up gets the bid anyway?
while the ncaa won't ban us from the BET, i doubt the league will allow us to play. they don't want a lame duck winning the whole thing, it would only hurt the other team's tourny chances.

I know it's partially sarcastic, but here's the likely scenario of how the next 3 games play out: beat Pitt at home behind a rowdy crowd with JC back, beat DePaul first round to get a little momentum going, beat SH again.

At that point we've got 3 in a row for the first time in 2 months and going into a 3rd matchup against Cuse, where it's pretty hard to beat a team 3 times in a season.

Not saying that they're going on a run like last year, but the likely scenario is that in 10 days, we'll be feeling pretty decent about a Garden matchup with Cuse and a tourney berth locked up.

Without Kemba there's no 5 in 5 (i'm laughing and pouring another drink). We get Calhoun back and I could see 3 wins which is not enough. It's gotta be a tremendous letdown tonight as they realize that they are going to the NIT right after the championship, but this wasn't just a few blown plays, it was a whole season of poor play and coaching. Losing Calhoun has cost us. We need a good head coach on our sidelines every game with these young players, and it's obvious that Calhoun is a problem because of his health issues. It's time for the new president and AD to talk about letting coach retire with all of our appreciations and with dignity, and to go out and get Brad Stevens to run our program for the next 25 years. Let's think big picture now, not if we can squeeze another year or so out of Coach Calhoun. Of course he has to go along with it and I hope he would.

That's a whole lot of "ifs," and I'm not sure why you think any of it is really likely. I could just as easily see this team mailing it in and getting run out of their own gym by Pitt (bad as they are) on Saturday as I can see them winning by 15. DePaul I would expect to beat again, but SH? Not likely. They'll have Pope back - the same Pope who manhandled AO and Drummond in the first game they played this year and blew our guys out of the water.

honestly last year is the only thing that keeps me from not breaking anything. the national championship seemed so far away right now though

Please no Brad Stevens.
