3pt Variance at First Two Sites

Smaller women's ball + same-sized rim as the men...not apples to apples.
Both true and irrelevant. Point being that if inflated balls caused the men to shoot long, it would have the same effect with women, regardless of a slightly smaller ball.

While balls may not be inflated properly, there is no statisical evidence that it affects shooting percentages. Bad sight lines maybe. See this for ball pressure --of course this looks at a limited range of ball pressure seen in the NBA. And if it affects it, it is because the ball bounces hard off rhe rim, the physics does not lead to the shot being long--that is pure bs.

Karaban in a podcast said the balls felt over inflated which lines up to a TikTok thing going around. Wonder if this was money related in any way. Alot on the games now, can easily see someone inflating the balls a little to decrease percentages. 10% is big.
Balls are inflated to 9.2 lbs psi for all games. Not saying they were not over inflated. If the 3 pt line is 9 “ off in a tournament game anything is possible. Can’t believe they knew the line was off and still played the game
