I'd say Providence is a poorly coached team as they piss away another big lead.

Reality is the players are just not that good. They can lay bricks from anywhere and have very few players who can create their own shot.

Okay. I'd like to modify my comment.

Whatever Cooley told his players in those last two time outs at the end of the game was either horrible or his players just don't listen. No way Watson should let JRE get behind him and get a squared up look for the win.

Gotta say I'm shocked Dukie V is calling the Illinois-OSU game before the Duke-UNC game.

Ohio State is 12-8 in the Big Ten but they are ranked 7th in the country?! Don’t you have to actually WIN games to be ranked or just play a tough schedule?

So Xavier is out as a potential 6 seed? Either St. John's or Providence depending on Xavier-Marquette winner? Is that where we are at?

Big East Tourney - UConn as the #3 seed would play the winner of the #6-#11 game, #11 being DePaul.

If SHU holds off SJU, then #6 would be SJU or PC. Xavier would be 5 with a win or 7 with a loss. That's all I got so far.

If SJU wins, I think:

If Xavier wins, #6 would be SHU or SJU
If Xavier loses, #6 would be PC.

An SJU win means both SJU and SH are 10-9.

As I understand it, because they're 1-1 vs each other, the first tiebreaker goes to their record vs the teams above them. SJU is 2-3 vs Nova/Creigh/UConn. SH is 1-5 vs same. Thus SJU gets the 4 seed.

With a win, Xavier would have a win % of .538 vs Hall's .526. Thus Xavier would be the 5 and Hall 6.

With a loss, Xavier would have a win % of .462 vs Providence's .478. Thus, Hall would be the 5, Providence would be the 6 and Hall the 7.

One correction. With a win, Xavier would be 4, SJU 5, SHU 6

Correct, once I put SJU at 4 I forgot that they're still only 10-9, so Xavier would pass them too.

I actually didn't see anything about win % in the tiebreaker rules, as I suppose those are assuming full seasons. Which makes this year interesting as technically Creighton is a half game better than Nova.
