1st tie breaker is record in Big East Tournament (rounds won)

2nd tie breaker is rounds won in NCAA TOURNAMENT

Here is the regular season schedule (thanks, jleves)

If anyone can come up with a simple list of regular season opponents that can be quoted and used here to winner for each game - please post and I'll add it to this post.

26-5 (I need to see us be able to beat Seton Hall)

10-1 OOC, 16-4 BE, 26-5

Loss at Kansas, all other games are generally going to be home games. Then we lose at StJ, at Creighton, at Marquette & one WTF loss.

OOC: 9-2
Conf: 17-3 (1st place outright)
Overall: 26-5
BET Champions
2 Seed out west
Final Record: 35-5
#7

I'll go 27-4 regular season- losses at Kansas, at Creighton, at PCU and at SJU.
Regular season BE champs and BET champs.
#1 seed in the east and a Final Four. After that, all bets are off. Why not just win #7?

This feels like a homework assignment. You must be a teacher.

I'm with the Chin. Champs, Champs, and a Final Four with a TBD.

Get to the FF healthy? I like our odds

Hard to predict injuries so going with no one missing more than 1 game (hopefully)

I think this season we win at Seton Hall and Crieghton.

OOC is a ringer but we lose 2 games I think and then in regular season split with St. Johns and lose a total of 4 games.

Optimistic at this time.

24-7 sounds about right.

And since no one asked, here are my Boneyard comment prediction numbers as well:

18,738 complaints about the refs
17,943 complaints abut the refs after a correct call
412 Karaban should have gone pro his freshman year
615 We're so lucky Karaban stayed
514 Ball is a horrible defender
514 Ball has gotten so much better on defense

Go Huskies!

OOC: 7-4
Conf: 15-5 (3rd place outright)
Overall: 23-10
BET Semifinal Loss -Creighton
5 seed east Sweet 16 Loss to 1 seed Florida (Close)
Final Record: 25-11

Commentary Watched the BC game wasn't impressed in terms of being elite this season, no Reed and Demary BUT i'm worried about the defense and being undersized at times

To be elite Demary is going to have to be a lockdown defender, the bigs will need to stay out of foul trouble, Hurley will have to trust a 3rd big to insure against foul trouble and any issues with Karaban. Karaban will have to be more accurate from 3.

Out of conference I have 4 losses, despite the favorable locations. The key games of the entire season will be Arizona/Illinois. Illinois has the extreme revenge factor from the 30-0 run. If we win one or both those games I would say the Big east goes to 16-4, we make a BE final and we get to an elite 8

The X factor on the players end is will Jaylin Stewart become the star he is capable of being, I believe he has limitless potential, if he is a double figure average scorer by January the sky is the limit (He would have to be playing admirable Defense to get on the floor for that long.

And yes I see creighton being a major thorn this season, and with all the unknowns I had to add an odd big east road loss and a Big east home loss. The seed drop to 5 is a combination of projected 0-1 NCAA level road wins (MQ) and the out of conference wins being home and neutral and I'm not sold on Texas (and its home) . Beat Arizona and Illinois get a 3 seed even with everything else fixed.

27-4 (17-3).
Big Regular season title (tie with St. John’s).
Big East tournament champs
NCAA tournament champs

Fairly worst case scenario, no? I couldn’t disagree more with Stewart. He simply needs to be competent (defensively) and let the rest of the star players shine. We don’t need a new star coming out.

Tough early schedule with lots of missing parts. It will take a tremendous effort to come out of the non-conference with a number of blemishes.

10-1 OOC
17-3 Conference
27-4 Overall

Somewhere around 25-6 regular season.

Our potential in the postseason makes me giddy regardless.
