That team with all of that you mentioned going against them and it still came down a controversial foul call and last second shot for them to lose the game. Can a team have 3 assists on 19 made field goals and expect to win? I betcha blind squirrels would have more than 3.
Do you put South Carolina in that same category?Exciting because it was close, but really sloppy and really bad basketball IQ displayed my many players, especially on Tennessee. Based on lack of consistency, I can’t see either of these teams going very far in March.
Coach Jumper?
I would say the last 5 minutes was filled with errors, brain cramps, and weird plays
Would you?Do you put South Carolina in that same category?
The reason I ask is South Carolina just lost to Tennessee recently.Would you?

I get it and I don’t mean to put you on the spot. The reason I ask is South Carolina just lost to Tennessee recently.

Having not seen many of the other aspirants, I’m basing this observation on limited data; both SC and UT will have hard time surviving in the tournament without a half court game. SC had only 10 assists on 28 baskets and UT only 3 on 19.
Do you think that those stats suggest problems in the tourney?

I’m not sure you can extrapolate future performance on one bad game. Heaven knows, UConn has had some ugly games; all of the tops teams have. All I can conclude from yesterday’s game is that Georgia and Tennessee made a lot of mental errors and it resulted in poor shooting, poor defense, and turnovers in this particular game. That’s atypical for this year’s version of Tennessee - I haven’t seen Georgia play so I don’t know about the Bulldogs.I get it and I don’t mean to put you on the spot.
