Not enough for my liking.
what is UK ranked?
I'm surprised Florida only got one first-place vote. Set aside the undefeated record, it's pretty obvious which of those two teams is playing better basketball recently.
The ACC is a three team league this year: UVa, Syracuse, and Duke. UNC and Pitt are meh. Where Syracuse's luck may run out is that they only play UVa and Duke a total of 3 times, and only have Duke at home. Virginia, on the other hand, only had Duke on the road and Syracuse at Home.I'm surprised Florida only got one first-place vote. More then the Houston loss?BankShost: 852116 said:Garbage, not that it matters now, but garbage.
Too bad we couldn't have held on versus Cincy on the road. That win would have us at least 10-15th overall.
That loss and the Stanford loss are going to bother me, because we had control of that game for the first 30-35 minutes.
They're playing really well right now, and while Notre Dame and Clemson are two losses, their others are to Kansas, Syracuse, and a full strength Arizona. And they played those three games close (neutral and road). I'd say their a Top 10 team, although probably not Top 5.Duke has beaten #18 and #22 . Lost to #5, #4, and #2. Yet they are #6 with bad losses to ND and Clemson as well. Please justify!
Stanford has crawled into the RPI Top 50, and Lunardi has them as a 9 seed. It's a frustrating loss because it was easily winnable, but it isn't nearly as bad a loss as people said about a month ago.Normally I would argue that polls don't matter that much, but they clearly do for seeding. I'd much rather be a 4 seed than a 5 or 6, and getting up to a 3 seed means we don't face a 1 seed till the elite 8. UCONN has 1 really bad loss (Houston) and one kinda bad loss (Stanford). Losing to SMU, Louisville, and Cinci are nothing to be ashamed of. But I'm kind of surprised Michigan (7 losses), Kentucky (6), Iowa (6), and 5 loss Texas and ISU are ranked ahead of us.
